THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT. IT ONLY TOOK MY HUSBAND AND MY BROTHER 2 HOURS TO PUT TOGETHER. WE HAVE TWO CHILDREN. OUR SON IS 5 AND OUR DAUGHTER IS 2 ITS PERFECT FOR HER BUT THE CLUBHOUSE IS TO SMALL FOR OUR SON. HE LOVES THE SWINGS. SHE LOVES THE WHOLE SET. CLIMBING THE ROPES, SWINGING AND THE SLIDE. I ONLY WISH WE HAD PURCHASED THIS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO THAT WAY OUR SON WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ENJOY THE ENTIRE SWINGSET.
For my 2 year old, this is the perfect size swingset. She can climb on it all by herself and I don't worry about her getting hurt. I also like the fact that this isn't permanently in the yard so when she outgrows it, we can take it down. It only took two hours for my husband to put it together, so I definitely recommend it!
I bought it for a Christmas gift for my 2 year old grandson. He absolutely loves it! I love the colors of this product. It's not fisher-price bold blue, but a more sophicated blue and a light gray. It's also durable, strong and strudy! And cleanable, being made of plastic, not flimsy plastic but impressively, Little tikes durable stuff. As for the design of this product I have one tiny complaint and that it could have been better if the slates for the ladder had anti-skid on them, but my grandson figured them out in about 2 seconds. Love this product!
We bought this set yesterday. My 17-month old was climing on the platform before my husband could even attach the slide. He spent all day on it today once it was fully assembled. I love the fact that it is smaller and plastic, which I feel is so much safer than wood for a young toddler. The only catch is that the assembly directions are a bit difficult to follow, but if you use common sense (and use an electric screwdriver!!) it is very doable in just a few hours. I am SOOO excited about this playset!
We saw the product displayed in store and we were not able to purchase it in the store or have it delivered to the store so the cost of shipping is what reduced the overall value perception of the product. Our son loves it and the quality of the product seems good, although we have seen one that has some age and fade and we are just hoping that does not happen with our set. Assembly had some challenges, because the bolts broke the covers if they were screwed in too far, took two broke covers to figure it out and the anchors are not of a very high quality so they went in a bit tough. I would actually recommend buying different anchors than the ones provided. The ends of the swing bar was also a bit challenging, and was probably the most time consuming part of assembly, but if you use the tip supplied for the small end on the large end as well you will be much further ahead than I.
The product is of good quality. The instructions would have been more helpful if written directions would have been included with the pictures. Set-up only took ~2 hours. The picture on-line definitely makes the product seem a little bigger than it actually is. Overall, we are satisfied. Our twin 2 year olds played all afternoon and evening on it as soon as it was set up. It is just amazing how little you get for children's products these days when the price tag is so hefty.
I bought this on clearance at a substantial amount less than regular so it was a great deal for us! Since it was a display it was already put together, we only had to detach the bar that holds the swings and part of the A frame to fit it into the back of the SUV. The directions I had to download from the Little Tikes website were a little hard since it was pictures and no words but I put it back together by myself with no problems. For my 3 year old the swings are the perfect size and she can get on and off without help. The platform is a little weak, gives just by pressing on it but it should be sturdy enough for little kids. It is definitly a short term set because they will grow out of it by 4 or 5 years old.
I Strongly recomend that you have walmart put this thing together. The directions are all pictures. The first picture is different than the last so you think you have the first step wrong. The net climber took me and my husband 30 min. alone to figure out. I am still trying to figure out the last 3 steps becuse they involve a pencil a sting and feeding and a bolt. No words to explain exactly what they want you to do with it all. On the up side only take one person to put it together. It is a very nice play set once it is out of the very intemadating box. Once out of the box it is mostly a bunch of big plastic peices. Then you look at the insterctions and you back tobeing intemadated again. The plastic peices are not pre drilled for the screws.
I think this will make a nice swingset for our grandson when we get the parts to finish putting it together. How disappointing to be setting a swingset up for a 2 year olds birthday party and not be able to finish because the 72" metal pole to hang the swings on is missing from the box that we paid $165.00 truck frt to ship 2 hours from home to his house. The instuctions (or pictures as it really is) are very poor. I had read this on the review, so I e-mailed the company to send some better directions and two weeks later I still haven't heard back form them. Don't depend on looking at the parts list to see if all your parts are there because it is not complete either.
it is hard to write this as i am still waiting for parts for this product. it came missing a bag of parts and has been over a week waitting for them so can't put it together. i will say this has soured me on little tykes. i have purchsed 2 step 2 products with no problems. i will stick with them for now on.
