impressed that delivery was on time, all the parts and materials included, nothing missing, and the product is of good quality. assembly is a lengthly project, took 2 very qualified men (carpenter/mechanic) about 4.5 hrs to put everything together. all the pieces fit and the instructions were adequate. the only negative I can comment is that I live in southwest desert area which can get very hot days, the plastic heats up and the set will get to hot to touch, so cannot play on during the heat of the day. if you have a shady area, would recommend setting up there.
The clubhouse can easily accomidate two four year olds at the same time. The double swing is perfect for children who don't quite have the hang of a regular swing, but who have outgrown the baby swings. The anchors are a bit tough to get into the ground, especially if you have clay in your soil, but once they are in, they are not going anywhere. The section for water next to the sand box should not be used for water. A lot of sand ends up in there and it is a mess to clean out.
We bought this structure about a month ago and we love it! The structure was relatively easy to assemble, so I was surprised that the reviews touched so negatively on assembly. All of the parts were there, perfectly labeled and easy to find. Very happy with purchase. Our children will be using it for years.
Purchased for grandkids 2-4 years old. Easy to assemble, safe and attractive. Assembled by two adults in about 6 hours total (including anchoring in concrete). Kids love it!
We are still working at assembling. The "A" frame is not attaching easily and we have had 2 bolts break off and are searching for the proper replacements. The features are awesome and we know the kids will love it. I say but... because assembly and parts are a challenge.
Our 3 year old daughter LOVES her new swingset. The sandbox is fun. The lid only fits one way, and isn't exactly what I expected. The water play area will be fun, but has already collected some rain water and some debris from our tree. It is slightly difficult to drain due to the drain being raised higher than other areas. We purchased an additional swing that is safe for a toddler and is a big hit. I believe my husband and brother-in-law had a fairly easy time erecting the playcenter. When the truck arrives you will need at least two strong individuals because it is packaged in three very heavy boxes. (My husband and the truck driver were able to unload it because we had little notice it was coming) Our daughter absolutely loves the slide and the rope ladder. The rear ladder is difficult to climb as it goes straight up and then even has a ledge you almost have to lean back to climb over. (she still does it) the two child rider is fun, and we have had children from age 2-10 playing on it and everyone had fun. The anchors are fairly good. If you have older heavier children playing on it frequently, it may be wise to anchor further in cement. Over all it is a wonderful swingset. It is nice not worrying about splinters, and the sandbox is spacious. We love it!
We ordered this play set for our grandchild and any future grandchildren for Christmas. She is not quite two yet, but absolutely loves to climb (with help) and slide and swing. We ordered a toddler swing, as well. My husband and son-in-law assembled it in about four hours. I was surprised how well it went together. I like the fact that it never has to be stained and is splinter free.
We got this playset for my son Christmas 2006. He loves climing the ladder, swinging on the swings, playing with the steering wheel, etc. But the playset hasn't even yet been here a year and I've already noticed quite a few rust spots on the metal posts -- at least two of the posts around the sandbox are rusting. Even the metal bar that goes horizontal, over the swings, has a rust spot on it.
I would not recommend this product. When we got it the plastic had a cut in it - but because it took forever to put together would could not send back. The product is already rusty and it is not sturdy at all! We have had this less than 2 years - spent $999 on it - and already feel like we have to buy a new product. We barely have ever used the set because it is so flimsy that my husband and I can't even play on it with our son. Please save your money and buy a wooden set. This one is awful!
Parts were not packaged right. Wrong parts caused a major problem in putting together. Sent two of main supporting poles that were the same which caused parts not lining up. Had to modify to continue putting together. Plus did not have all bolts required. Very frustrating and time consuming. Time did not allow to wait for customer service to react.
