I wasn't sure what to expect because of all the various reviews, but we are pleased with this bed. My son loves it! We have been trying to get him out of our bed for a while, and he's so excited about this bed, that he actually looks forward to sleeping in it at night. There were a few things I did not like with the shipment. We had it delivered to the store to save money. However, the box was in bad shaped and looked beaten. I was concerned that pieces would be missing. Surprisely, we had all the pieces EXCEPT a missing screw. But we were able to find another one that we had around the house. But overall, we are happy with this purchase.
its a great bed my son is two and he selpt in the first night we got and put it together for him. the box is very large so be prepared for that. the wife and i had it up and ready to go within 45min. you will need a box spring or a bunkie board (we used a bunkie board) the provided support beams will not support the mattress alone. when the bed is complete the bed its self is large so make sure u have room for it because the size will surprise you. but the bed finished off his room nicely, and he loves it.
Purchased the Little Tikes Sports Car bed for my grandson when he was ready to leave the crib. He is into sports cars and it was the exact color of his Granddaddy's 65 Mustang. He was so excited. Researched beds and this one was the one that seemed to be very sturdy and provided enough room on the sides to keep him from rolling off. Very satisfied. Nancy from NC
I was very skeptical on purchasing this bed due to some of the customer reviews, however, I decided to purchase anyway. First of all my 2 year old absolutely loved it! It is very appropriate for especially if your trying to wean from your bed to his own like me...lol! The bed did not have scratches and flaws as some of the reviewers mentioned. The bed is hard plastic, not wood... Its very sturdy, light weight and fun for any toddler. I did not have to put it together. I used Walmarts white glove service -- they delivered the bed, were very professional, put the bed together in 15min and removed all trash. Although a little pricey, I would definitely recommend this bed :)
My son loves this bed.This bed got him to sleep in his own bed.He has plenty of room since he sleeps in all directions.When putting together this bed the sides didn't match perfectly.Had to bang them with a rubber mallet.Its a very cute bed that every boy would love!
We love this bed and so does our son. We didn't put the box springs, just plywood so there is no way to roll out of bed in the middle of the night. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is there is a gap between the mattress and the edge of the bed frame. We have stuffed this with sheets to prevent our little guy from getting stuck in between the mattress and frame. It's a great transition from crib to big boy bed.
The box was in shambles, and I could not feel secure that all parts were still in the container. In adddition, Walmart sent the wrong color. I did not accept the product. I came home and ordered the bed from Little Tykes directly, eventhough I had to pay more for the product and pay shipping costs. The cost was worth it after this fiasco, because Little Tykes is customer oriented. I already have one of these beds, which I also bought directly from the manufact urer. My grandson loves the bed, and it is a sleek product. I decorated the room with Disney Cars bedding and accessories.
I bought this bed for my almost 2 year old because I thought it was super cute and it had great reviews. I picked it up from the store this morning and put it together a little while ago. I am so sad. The plastic on the car is all scratched up, and there is even 2 big chunks of the plastic missing. It actually looks like it has road rash. One of the screw holes was drilled in the wrong spot, so we had to make our own hole to keep it together. I really expected it to show up looking new, considering the price that we paid. I have emailed Little Tikes to see what we can do, and am still waiting to hear back. So disappointed.
Box was too big for a normal pick-up. Delivery should have been suggested. Plastic frame had many scratches. Not NEARLY enough wood brace boards for a Box Spring and were too short to support, had to replace and add 4 more. Not really Happy at all.
The bed itself is great. My 4 year old is thrilled. Do NOT use ship to store option. The box (holding 100+ pounds) had obviously been thrown. It was haphazardly taped..pieces were missing because of it. Perhaps it is solely an issue with my local wal mart (Virginia beach- phoenix Dr)
