My husband and I have been in the market to buy a Magnetic Sweeper. Before we got around to buying one he did a lot of research to find the right one. It just so happened that the Spark Reviewer Program was offering one to try out. The one I received is called a Load-Release All-Terrain Magnetic Sweeper and it is produced by Shields Magnetics. They are one of the largest suppliers of this type of sweeper in the United States. And another plus is that they are made in the U.S.A. The sweeper uses Grade 8 permanent magnets and is cased in a aircraft aluminum housing. The lifting power is rated at 175 pounds, so that should pick up virtually anything that in in your way. They come with fork pockets to fit a forklift and eye bolts to tighten down to your forks. The eye bolts can also be used to suspend the sweeper. We use ours on a mini backhoe, so we just use small chains attached to the backhoe bucket and the eye bolts on the sweeper. We have already used ours to pick up leftover hardware on a roadway we are building. And it worked great. It saved us a lot of time and effort as opposed to the way we had been doing it in the past. And a greatest feature is , to unload the items that you have picked up just pull the quick release handle and they all fall off . We are getting ready to tear down an old store building to build a playground so we will use the Sweeper to pick up all the metal and nails (we have to keep the kids safe). So if you are in the market for a Magnetic Sweeper and you need one with a very high pick up power this is the one to buy.
Better than I expected, this Load-release All-Terrain Magnetic Sweeper is amazing. I will start by saying this is rugged and well built. I have used it to remove all of the fallen screws, nails, hardware, actually all of the ferrous metal items in our terminal, dock area and trailer. This is the solution to interior and exterior metal debris. I put it to the test on our uneven gravel yard and broken concrete areas and it passed the test with flying colours. It has proven to be cost effective. It has saved me money on wasted inventory, preventing tire damage, and I no longer worry about metal debris causing a work site injury. It also helped me save on clean up time and maintenance time. It's a win win product. Best of all, it is made in the USA. Load release lets me put the debris just where I need it to be sorted and restocked for future use. I definitely recommend this amazing magnetic sweeper.
