I bought this mouse for the first time in 2006, then I moved, and left it in my old house. So I bought it again in 2013, then I moved to Florida, and I couldn't found it again. I tried other mouses, but I couldn't live without this Track Ball Mouse. If you are about my age (I was born in 1971), you may remember the Centipede Arcade, well, it's the same. It's Ergonomic, Plug and Play, if you want you can program the 4 buttons, or use them with the default settings, it has a USB cord, I know, but that's the way I like it; I don't need to recharge or exchange batteries.
Good quality and design that has passed the test of time; no need to reinvent the wheel here. Works fine on Windows 10 even without loading the driver if you are OK with the standard default operation. Have seen this model for about $5.oo less online elsewhere but in-store pick-up was easy.
you use your fingers instead of your wrist so when you are older or have problems with your wrists this is the mouse for you . my old one is very old around 10 years old and it still works. love this mouse.
I've been using this model of trackball for many years . Logitech products have always served me well. They are durable (I am really hard on them - used in gaming and the shop on different computers). Mine have been exposed to sawdust, grinding dust, grease, oil, dust and have always performed. I have broken more than have worn out (and I mean "broken" by dropping, stepping on, spilling various liquids on them). I will always choose the Logitech Trackman.
great product. i've always preferred a trackball over a mouse. i lose track of where they are on the desk and bang them into things and sometimes they go flying off the edge. a trackball stays in one place, so that's not a problem. they are great for limited spaces or to use with your laptop in bed. only drawback is that most don't have a scroll wheel, but i can't think of a good place to put it where it wouldn't be in the way for me, so that's not really much of a drawback. logitech is a great brand. i bought this one to replace my old one. last one lasted 8 or 9 years. it's still working, but the left click didn't want to hold 100% of the time anymore. i will keep it around as a backup. yes, they are more expensive than a mouse, but totally worth it when they last that long.
My family and I have been using the Logitech Trackman Marble Trackball's well over 10 years. My wife, daughter and I have Trackball's on our computers. It's GREAT for gaming!!! You have speed and control at your finger tips without having to move your hand dragging a mouse all over the mousepad. This is the only trackball we buy. I just bought my wife and daughter a new trackball for Christmas. We all game online and these trackball's get a workout!!! My current trackball is about 3 years old and doing good......NO PROBLEMS!!!
I've been using this mouse at work for years; one for my left hand and one for my right hand to prevent RSI. I also carried one in my "road-warrior" bag. I just retired and bought one for myself for home. It is super easy - plug and play. Easily adapts to left or right hand use - no set-up needed. I recommend it highly. Wal-mart had a great price on it, too.
Not the best of Logitech's, but second best. This is my 5th. The best however was the old "Trackman Marble FX" which they don't make anymore unfortunately. Using a trackball is an instant cure for carpel tunnel syndrome you get from using a mouse.
This is my 2nd one. The 1st one lasted 15+ years. Was still working, but I think that a wire, inside, was starting to come loose, so I was getting some intermittent failure to work. This one is actually better as the ball doesn't fall out like the old one and that I (or the cats) was/were regularly chasing it around the floor. It's comfortable in my hand. I have arthritis in my thumb, so a regular mouse causes discomfort, which the roller ball doesn't. Love it! And affordable!
I was looking for something that was easier on my hands. This isn't it. Wanted something less painful. This isn't it. I wish I could send it back. I thought it would get batter once I adapted to it. That didn't happen.
