The camera and wireless work great. The battery option for the camera is Ok for daytime but when night vision is on the battery dies quickly. The software that comes with the camera is lacking and does not have an option to record at lower resolution and use less spce. The picture is great even with night vision on.
easy set up, colors adjust, if viewing thru window IR lights disrupt night view by reflecting off glass. IR does not turn off. Used to monitor car at 30 to 40 ft. needs to be a 2X system for facial recognition. Picture is from a camera but shows distance to auto.
Good Camera for the money. I can keep watch of my front yard and driveway.
I received the product today and returned it today. The lens produces terrible results. Spherical abberation causes vertical objects (like lamp poles) to appear curved. Color reproduction is non-existent. Does not even transmit 30 feet. Camera mount is poorly designed. There is no way to mount the camera under the eaves of a house because the transmitted picture would be upside down. Range of motion of this camera mount is extremely limited. Very strange: the model numbers shown on the actual camera and transmitter do not match any of the model numbers shown in the instruction manual or accompanying brochure. Both the instruction manual and the product insert have numerous "pasted-on" corrections and additions. The translation into English is lacking. It was evident that the package had been re-opened so that the corrections could be made. The product did not even fit firmly into the molded cardboard shipping container. Wal-Mart should pull this product. Based upon this experience, I would not purchase a Lorex product. I do appreciate the ease with which I was able to return the product; however, I am unhappy with the fact that a deficient product caused a considerable waste of my time. I am a highly technically proficient person and am well qualified to make the above comments.
