This boot is everything! It's buttery soft and amazing quality. I am 5'8 and it does come up way above my knee. No issues with the calf area and I have an athletic build. I bought the black and now ordering the suede. The gold zipper is to die for! I do not think this boot will work with someone with small legs.
I bought these boots in the black leather and they're gorgeous! Initially, I was as disappointed as others have stated in their reviews because I could get them on and thought I was going to have to send them back. However, I finally figured out it to maneuver my foot into the shoe. Once they were on, I had no difficulty getting them off. I'm assuming that they will stretch over time and be easier to slide into. I purchased my normal size 6.5 and I've just ordered the brown suede pair.
I bought these a couple of weeks ago and love them! I have wide feet but after sizing up half size I had no issue putting them on. Indeed they are roomy for more athletic legs. And I would call them slouchy: they are staying in place as needed. The heel is very comfy too. All in all: nice craftsmanship, nice design, comfy.
These boots are stunning, but if you get your true size your foot will not actually go past the heel area. I just need up going a size up to see if I could make these work. My foot fit, but now the calf area swags. So upsetting. Such beautiful boots otherwise.
OMG I I fell in love with these the moment I saw them and decided they were going to be the perfect birthday gift to myself. Received them super fast, faster than expected and OMG the butter soft leather and they seem to be the perfect over the knee I've been wanting for the longest. Unfortunately I have to return...I literally started crying I can't get my heel past the bottom shaft and I didn't want to risk ripping the zipper. I know it's quality leather and I don't feel like attempting to go through a "stretching" process I should have known better with the medium width I'm still crying as I type this and staring at the box that I have to return. CURSE YOU WIDE FEET!!! And the insole feels so comfortable to the touch, ladies get you these if you don't have wide feet/ankles like me you will love them.
Like everyone else I was SO excited to get this shoe! It looks so stylish/sexy/affordable online and based on the measurements list, it'd even fit my large calves! However, when it arrived, I was so disappointed. I tried it on and the shaft wouldn't even go past my ankles. I've never had a boot fit so tight and I don't think it's because of the leather needing to be broken in...I even ordered up 1/2 size to ensure they fit! They are beautiful in person but the measurements are completely off. The shoe size was accurate and I do believe they'd be comfortable if I could've zipped them up...but the shaft circumference sizing is completely off. Order with caution.
I purchased the suede in an 11 and like others have stated the fitting on this shoe is horrible. I could not get my foot in through the ankle part. I live in Atlanta, GA so I took them to this high end shoe repair company called Santana Shoe Repair. They extended the elastic on the back of the boot all they way down to the heel which gave about 1 1/2 in. for space in the ankle area and they fit perfect now!!!! Yes that was more money, but it was worth it!! The boot itself is fire, but I gave it 3 stars only because I had to pay for alterations on the boot.
I was so excited to get these boots. I got home today and they were there...I put them on, they definitely run a bit tight right begore my foot slides in. I was able to go past and in terms of shoe size they were perfect. However in the image the boots look really well contructed, rigid, and fitted. The boots however have a little bit of looseness around my leg besides the foot. They look a little loose and not as straight as the images showcase, they wrinkle up a bit so it looks like ruching.
I agree with everyone that the fit is odd, due to the zipper placement. I wear a pretty standard 8 in 99% of my shoes. After reading the reviews I went up a half size in the brown ones. It was extremely hard to get my foot into the bottom. I do have a high arch, sort of narrow foot and small ankles with huge calves. Once I got my foot in the boot fit perfect. I walked a museum in them on the first wear for 5 hours, then went shopping. They felt perfectly lovely. Wanting the black leather ones I had to go up a whole size, I was unable to find an 8.5. My foot slides into the 9 with no problem at all. A bit loose on my calves but will wear with thicker socks. I LOVE THESE BOOTS and so glad that I was able to make them work.
I Absolutely fell in love with these boots it was so sad I couldn't get my foot in but I couldn't bring myself to return them so I took him to the shoe shop to make the zipper higher and now they fit but I shouldn't have to do that which is the reason for the One star
