I got this with my sister-in-law in mind. She is in an Assisted Living Community with end stage Dementia. This is perfect in keeping her "bottom" clean and free of "skin breaks." I would highly recommend this for anyone, but it is especially helpful for those not able to take care of their personal hygiene on their own.
The packaging was truly easy to open and find everything needed. Instructions, on the other hand, were a little lacking for a female who is not mechanically inclined. First, was the mounting of the unit onto my toilet. It did not state to insert the flat, round pieces with the rubber rings into the large circular holes. Then it should have directed the installer to turn those circular pieces so the openings faced up and down, in order to align with the holes on the toilet. I was confused as to how to attach the T piece to the water hose extending from the floor and the supplied hose into the T and onto the tank of the toilet. Thankfully, the instructions did inform me to turn off the water supply before starting any of the installation steps. Once the bidet was properly installed, I tried it out. I honestly have to say I did not feel any difference in the three different settings of the jet spray. The stream of water isn't as strong as I thought a bidet would be – which is good! Imagine it would be quite useful for those with hemorrhoids or tender ‘under carriage' from too much wiping due to diarrhea or such.
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 I tried the Neo 110. That was fantastic. The Neo 120 is extra-ordinarily fantastic with a added knob switch. This knob switches from wash to nozzle cleaning. The nozzle cleaning feature cleans the nozzle thoroughly. It's really an upgrade, and for the price, your bathroom looks classier. As it's been with the 110 model, it's so easy to install, tops, 20 minutes. As it's with all models, Neo 120 is equipped with control knobs that are user friendly for kids and the elderly. I love this product, as it makes you feel so fresh and clean after use.
I received this Luxe Bidet Neo 120: Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment (Blue and White) from the Spark Reviewer program for my fair and honest opinion. I received it on Friday and finally had the opportunity on Wednesday to attach it to my toilet. The instructions for attaching were excellent. I have no experience with plumbing at all and was glad to see step by step clear instructions. The first toilet I tried in my house would not cooperate. The fittings would not come loose for me. My plumber evidently meant to have a tight fit which is good because that toilet never leaked and I never had any problems with it! On to the 2nd toilet...Success! First thing you do is turn off the water to the toilet. Flush. Hold down the handle and let the water in the tank out as much as possible. Easy. I had a towel and bucket ready for any water that remained. Step 2. Remove the toilet lid/seat and put the bidet on the toilet and put the lid/seat back on the same way you took it off. Easy. Now onto the fittings. Remove the fitting to the water tank. Attach the T-Bar as shown in the instructions. Attach the tube to the bidet. I used the plumbers tape that is supplied on the fittings. Now here's something I really liked...I had my choice of a "plastic" T-bar connection or a "metal" one! I chose the metal one. It has a shut off on it where I can adjust the amount of water pressure that comes through or if ever I need to, I can turn it off completely. (The plastic one does not have a shut off.) It took me about 30 minutes to do the entire process and get my fittings loose on the toilet and attach the fittings for the bidet. "Slowly" turn the water to the toilet back on. If there is any water leaks, turn it off and tighten your fittings. That should fix it. Now sit on the toilet and turn your bidet on. There are several settings and on the metal T-Bar, if too much water comes out, you can adjust that as well. I have never used a bidet or been exposed to one so this is a new experience for me. Having water spray my behind was quite different. That being said, I can see where this bidet would be beneficial to someone that has difficulty reaching and cleaning that area. Also, if you have a bout of diarrhea or are getting ready for a colonoscopy (sorry to be so outright about a delicate situation) you know that you get sore there and this is much better than continuously wiping that area. So you spray that area and pat dry. You know you are clean and that area is less sore if not sore at all. I also understand that many people use those convenient, in the package, moist wipes to clean themselves. You could do away with those if you have a bidet attached to your toilet. It will only spray if you want it to spray and you can increase or decrease the water pressure and amount of water you use. It also has a setting where you can clean the nozzles of the sprayer so you don't have to physically remove anything from the nozzles to unclog them. I would highly recommend the use of this bidet for the ease of attaching and using it, as an alternative to using wipes, and ability to do a no-hands cleaning of the nozzles.
This bidet is affordable in price for the average joe but it's a high quality product! It does what it's designed to do very well. Easy to install. Although it comes with an okay plastic t-connector, I opted for a metal one for piece of mind.We love it so much we plan to install one in every bathroom!.I highly recommend it!
This 120 Bidet is a unisex so has just the one setting. It does not change for male & female setting. The installation was pretty simple. It took me about 30 minutes to install as I was not quite sure what I needed to do & so went slow to insure I was doing it correctly. I suggest getting bumpers for your toilet seat so that you do not break your seat & sit level. I got mine at Home Depot. The nozzle is behind a door and only comes out when turned on. As soon as it is off, the nozzle retracts. The self-cleaning seems to do a great job cleaning the back, but I think you might have to clean the front of the door. Since this is new, it is not dirty yet. Ok…so this was my first time using a bidet ever. Oh my goodness! I don't know if I could ever go back to going the bathroom without this. It is so much better than toilet paper! I cannot get over it. I don't think I have ever felt so clean! We now only use toilet paper to make sure nothing still wet and so we hardly use any toilet paper since we installed this. Now the spray is pretty hard even on the low setting, but not hurtful. So, it might be me getting used to this or there might be something I need to tweak on my installation. Either way…I love this & will not be returning.
I had always wanted a bidet but never got around to getting one, now I don't know how I've lived without one this long. I must say, at first installation was a little challenging for me because my water shut off is outside.. With the help of my neighbor, I was able to install it in a flash.. I love the clean feeling I get after using it.. I understand that you do not have to use the bidet every time you flush but once a day is best.. Will never live without one.. Talked to three of my friends and they have ordered this same one immediately.
I have to be honest here and say that if it weren't offered as a Spark Review Item, I wouldn't even know about the Luxe Bidet line, and in this case Model 120 I told my wife about it and she was instantly skeptical and didn't really want me altering our toilet for a product review. My thoughts were that we have our own water supply (well) and independent septic system and I do NOT like flushing moist towelettes that just don't seem like they would decompose in the septic tank. I turned off the water supply under the toilet, flushed the water out of the reservoir to empty the remaining water, removed the toilet seat/cover, and installed the Neo 120 in less than 15 minutes with the nylon wrench and included Teflon tape. Spit-Spot, it was ready to use and the water was back on. This is an interesting experience, my wife was the first to try it out and the result was a lot of awkward laughing, BUT she was instantly sold on the idea and agreed that it is a fantastic hygienic benefit! Spraying down before wiping just makes sense and now we're wondering why we haven't had one of these all along? It's easy to operate, with easy control over the spray force, and a second dial to shift to the nozzle clean mode. The toilet seat does lean slightly forward and I highly recommend the free offer for those thicker bumpers for under the seat, this levels it out and accommodates the bidet. Well made, easy to install, the function is "spot-on" and I can see no downside. We ALL love it and would certainly recommend it without hesitation or reservation. Get one and you'll know how dirty you've been all along.
Each time I have seen a bidet on television, it has made me curious. They seemed mysterious, although their purpose was hygienically practical. It always appeared to be an item only available to the financially elite portion of the population. It was brought to my attention that a bidet was attainable without the need and expense of installing a partner device next to the toilet in your bathroom. When obtaining the device, I wasn't sure if it was a “do it yourself” or a plumber would be needed. The instructions said it was easy to install. With the help of a family member, we able to install it quite easily. The only trick is to read and follow the directions. Don't interpret and decipher, just read and follow. If you overthink it, it becomes challenging. It looks good in the bathroom, and not weird like I anticipated. The bidet is very simple to operate, and performs its function very well. Prior to the initial use, I braced myself for a ‘shot' of ice cold water. There was no cold water shock. The water temperature is not uncomfortable. It definitely cleans very well, and freshens you. I was apprehensive about the direction of the water, due to concern about the possibility of fecal matter being washed in the wrong direction on female anatomy. However, that has not been a problem. This could be considered a ‘luxury' item that has been made attainable to “regular” people. It makes you drastically cleaner than just toilet paper.
I got this product to review as part of the Spark Reviewer team. I did not really want to pick up one of these units. But now that I have it it is a nice addition to the bathroom. I will say that it took the better part of an hour and a trip to the local hardware store to get it installed. I used a philips and flat blade screwdriver and a pliers besides the tool that was included in the box. I am a home handyman but plumbing and toilets are not my favorites. Everything they give you in the box fit and worked well with no leaks. they did think of most every possibility. One thing they did not think of is longer bolts for the toilet seat. The unit raises the toilet seat about a 1/4 inch. This was enough to not allow the bolts that hold the toilet seat on to not be long enough anymore. A trip to the hardware store in the middle of the install was necessary to get 1/2 inch longer bolts that would allow the toilet seat to be attached and hold this unit in place. The seat will then hold the unit to the toilet bowl. I needed to fine tune the water pressure valve to get a flow that was not too strong. Beware to hold up your hand or a towel while doing the first test while looking at the toilet bowl, otherwise you will get a good squirt square on your body as the angle of flow is directly out of the toilet. As this is currently January and house is not all that warm, the flow of water on your under regions is cool; a little cooler than I would like. Perhaps a unit that allows warm water would be better, but also would be a lot more complicated to install and hook up. This is a novel addition to an ordinary bathroom that makes going their a little special and might help clean you up in a "special" situation. It appears to be durable, but I have only had it installed for less than a week. Time will tell.
