Very excellent Tele. Installed stronger strings and black locking tuners. Plays really well—the setup was nearly perfect. The straight neck is nice, but the shiny fretboard isn't. The pickups aren't horrible, but they're a little muffled, so I installed a neck Alnico lipstick pickup and a hot rail single coil in the bridge that I bought. Because I've never had a hot rail pickup before, I just soldered. Seriously, standard pickups aren't all that horrible. Excellent guitar for a novice. A nice, straight neck. There are no sharp frets. The bridge appears to function well, as do all of the electronics. I'm quite impressed for only $99. Easy to play, light basswood body, and comfortable neck make this a great guitar for a novice. Overall, it is well worth far more than $99. Furthermore, it seems fantastic. I requested sunburst, but this is browner and deeper, which I think looks great. I'm quite pleased with my buy.
My spouse, a former professional musician, has a small collection of beautiful guitars but is always open to new experiences. This artwork has captured his heart. He claims it is lighter in weight than other versions he has that he does not use as frequently. He compliments the craftsmanship. Don't be disheartened if you need to fine-tune the strings. This will occur with any string instrument. Find an instructor or a buddy, and perhaps some online tutorials. It is both time and money well spent. Enjoy!
It's a lovely instrument; my partner is an accomplished musician, so I asked him to do some searching for me, and he came across this. It's excellent for a novice. The neck isn't overly thick, which makes learning to fret simpler. If you're trying to get into guitar, I'd say this one is solid for a beginner (coming from one:), and to anybody just starting out or lacking inspiration, remember that practice makes perfect, and we all started somewhere! best wishes
You cannot beat this guitar for $100. A gorgeously painted body, a completed neck reminiscent of a MIM start, and a rocking' sound! The scratchy frets were the only issue I found. I polished them with steel wool, and the guitar now plays brilliantly. If everyone had the same level of craftsmanship on their guitar as I have, it would be totally playable right out of the box for novices. Experienced guitarists may opt to tidy up the frets. I'm sure not everyone gets one this good/bad depending on your perspective. In any case, for $100, it's a fantastic deal! Keep it up!
I'm a newbie. I've been playing acoustic for 7 months. This is my first electric guitar. It took some time to get it tuned up, but once I did, I couldn't put it down! I don't even have an amp yet, but strumming chords on this telecaster is a delight!
What the hell, a little more than $100, at worst it'll be a lovely wall hanger, I reasoned. When it arrived and I took it out of the box, I was blown away by the flawless paint work and poly finish. Very well done. I next tested it from the plug-in socket to the tuners and found nothing wrong: the neck was straight, there were no out-of-alignment concerns, and nothing was loose. Thus far, so good. I made the mistake of trying to tune it without first stretching the strings, however once extended, they stayed in tune for a whole day! Then I fired it up, and let me tell you, I was blown away. The pickups are quite bright and loud. The bridge pup twanged and barked with that illusive tele sound that we had all attempted to achieve with MIMs and Squires. The neck pup has a mellow and lively flavor. Despite being a hardtail, the sustain is exceptional. How did they make this guitar with amazing puppies so cheap? Even for a Chinese-made guitar, I think it's a terrific product. I'm already in love with this guitar and plan on playing it for a long time.
This guitar is stunning. I acquired it with the intention of "digging into my spare parts," but nothing was required. The guitar sounds fantastic. There is no need to change the pickups or tuners. The volume and tone controls, as well as the pickup selection, are adequate. I only changed the strings for D'addario lights and tightened a couple of loose tuner bushings! This guitar is quite impressive; it has a lot of great tone! This one might easily make me laugh!
very surprised of the quality..the neck is straight with no buzzing..the only thing was that the frets needed polishing..there was no sharp edges on the frets..change the strings and lowered the action and it was good to go..
I only received this guitar a few days ago, but I wasn't expecting much at $109. I removed the guitar from its box and studied it. It looked a lot better than I expected it to. I only had to tune it and connect it in. They played incredibly well, with great action and sound. I don't see how they can sell this guitar for $109. The body is made of Allwood, while the neck is made of solid maple. The tuners were smooth and tight, and the pickups sounded terrific. I'm not sure what type these are. If I had anything negative to say about this guitar, and I'm probably being fussy, it's that the plug-in for the cable is a touch tight, but I'm sure that will loosen up over time. Overall, I'm pleased... well worth the money....
I was surprised by the quality of the guitar there were no sharp frets whatsoever the neck profile is so easy to hold and play it is extremely lightweight great sounding tele over all it came pristine with no nicks dings or dents great packaging great for beginners the tuning pegs are well put together no jumping it's always easy to tune all I did to it was change the strings and even that was a piece of cake since it has a top loading string tray
