For me it worked as advertised and I would recommend this to a friend.
We have a rounded end on our kitchen cabinets. The brown cove wall base was perfect. Please lay flat for at least a day so it won't curl on the ends when you apply.
As a home owner and DIYer, with no prior experience with wall cove except for removing what was there. Pros- you do not need to cut 45s for inside corners. The adhesive on the back i was able to restick with no issues. Cons- i needed to change blades often because the glue would gunk up blade b4 it would get dull. If i didnt clean the blade off after every swipe most pieces made it onto the adhesive tape. YouTube videos say to cut a 45 for inside corners, you do not need to with this product. So it was one less step i had to worry about. All in all i ordered a second roll to finish my kitchen.
After using up a big old roll of Roppe commercial wall base on a job, I couldn't find the matching brown color at my local Home Depot, so I purchased this online as a cheaper alternative in the same color family. Unfortunately, even after laying the product flat for several days and acclimating it to the temperature and humidity, the "peel-and-stick" backing still failed to hold the product securely to the wall. And in the spots where it adhered, it did not stick flat to the wall no matter how many times I rolled and pressed over it. I was forced to remove the product the next day, and use traditional vinyl wall base adhesive on the back, over the factory applied "peel-and-stick" glue (the same glue used on the Roppe wall base) to make it stick. In some places this created a bad reaction with the old glue/new glue/paint on the wall, so I was forced to scrape everything down, remove paint and try a third time. When finally secure with high quality glue, there were still "bubbles" and unevenness in this product that were never a problem with the higher quality, more expensive Roppe wall base. In the second picture you can see this cheap product on the left, and the Roppe wall base on the right. This product is much thinner, with a nearly non-existent "toe" at the bottom, compared to the Roppe wall base. The thicker "toe" on the Roppe product allows for a good fit to the bottom of the floor, keeping dirt and water out from under your drywall. This product was uneven and wiggled all over the place, unfortunately I don't expect it to hold up well in this bathroom application, it's almost impossible to create a good seal to the bottom of the floor because it's so thin and easy to warp. Unfortunately I'm stuck with it for now...
The glue on the vinyl wall base had melted in the box. Glue was everywhere in the box and all over the vinyl. It was a mess. I couldn't use it.
