This light is OK for being seen, but is pretty minimal in it's use as a light for seeing where you are going. The LED bulbs in this unit and others like it at Walmart.com are weak and do not throw off much light. Surprisingly, the five LED, seven LED, and nine LED lights seem to produce about the same amount of light. The good thing is that this light is inexpensive and the batteries last forever. If you just want to make sure you or your family can be seen at night when they are tooling around the neighborhoood, this is good. If you are a bicycle commuter and depend on a light to see, this is not the one. It is a good adjunct to city street lights. The handlebar mounting hardware is worth the price of the whole unit, so you can almost justify buying this light set and replacing it with a better hand-held flashlight.
This might be good if the mount were made of some super quality/durable material... however it's made of very cheap grade rubber that will break quite quickly. Mine broke after two and a half weeks. The light itself seems quality, but who knows?
