I was a bit skeptical when I received this bag because of its size. Installation was very easy. I opened the expandable flap and the bag doubled in size. I carry a spare tube, a fix kit, tools, my wallet and my cell phone and still have room for my keys and a granola bar. This bag is plenty big enough. It tucks under the seat nicely and looks good. I had to mount my rear light lower on the frame, but that was simple and works fine.
I always had trouble with the back saddle bag sliding down and getting in the way of the tire eventually. This one stays put, holds a lot (my tools and an inner tube) and is expandable if more is needed. My husband is considering getting one to replace his current one.
This works great. Installed easily and love the fact that is quickly detachable. Keep my keys, wallet and other valuables in it and when I park the bike, I just take the whole thing with me. No need to unload everything and reload when I get back to the bike. Also like the fact that it is expandable.
I purchased two of these one for my Fuji Mt bike and one for my sons Schwinn Hybrid. The mount fit easily on my Mt bike but I had to use zip ties for the hybrid seat. Otherwise nice large large bag my galaxy s3 phone fits in with room to spare for car keys, tube patches and co2 tire filler without unzipping for expansion. Only other issue would be if you do not have adequate room between seat and rear tire for the large bags size.
I'm all for supporting local bike shops ...but dang-it...when they try to gouge you 30.00+ for a bag like this I say the heck with them. Great bag for the right price. Installs in 5 minuets or less and holds firm and tight. Good size not so big it looks horrid yet big enough for all your personal stuff you normally would carry in your cargo pants pockets for a days ride. So this enables me to ditch the cargo pants and go light with just riding shorts. I quick clip and one Velcro strap are quickly un done if you want to take the bag off when going in for a burger and beer or use the head. My wife loves hers too as its big enough for some spare feminine products, lip stuff, cell phone camera. and a power bar or 3. You could easily stuff a light nylon rain shell or an extra riding jersey in this thing as well and still have a tad bit of room for keys and your phone.
This is a great little bag, fits my tube (in box), tools, keys, phone, and snack without using the extra space opening. It fits snug and secure with the clip on connection. The clip on is a little difficult to get on at first, but once on it's not going anywhere. I have it on my road bike and will be ordering another for my mountain bike. A friend of mine got one very similar without the clip on connection at Sports Authority and paid double the cost of this nice bag! The only difference was brand and his has a key hook under the front zipper.
I had to really go through a lot to get this to attach to my MTB bike. It should have probably come with some adapters for different bike setups, to make attaching a lot easier. This was really a hard device accessory to get put on. The bag does have a lot of room, and the clip on and off is pretty nice to work with, but the attaching is just to much trouble to hassle with.
After reading the reviews, I thought this bag would be huge. It is in fact small. Wallet, Keys & Not much else. Also, it was a pain in the neck to mount. I had to improvise with the little parts they included, but I'm sure it's not on correctly. No Instructions. The least they could have den was included a Diagram or two. I would return it, but I finally got it on & for $10. I won't bother.
The picture is disceiving. I know what dimensions it says, but you really have to stuff it for it to be that size. And no instructions on how to install it on the bike. I refunded at the store. Sorry.
The zipper that expands the bag broke the first time I unzipped it. Maybe It was a fluke but I was not going to order another one to find out. Bought a similarly priced product from Target instead.
