So far this GPS works perfect with The National Geographic Topo maps. This was my one and only reason to purchase this particular GPS. If you're not looking for this feature, find something that's a lot cheaper.
I own a bunch of gps units and got this one because it could use the National Geographic TOPO! products. They are the best maps I've seen on a unit. It can also show the satellite images from the new National Geographic TOPO! Explorer product. I do like the photo and video features of the gps as well.
