The stainless steel pipes in a MagnaFlow System are mandrel bent, keeping their shape through the bends to avoid obstructions to the gas flow. The gases are led into the free-flow mufflers with smooth necks and a straight-through, perforated stainless steel tuning pipe. The pipe is wrapped in a stainless mesh wrap and surrounded by tightly packed acoustical fiber in a lap-joint welded stainless steel body.
