I received this exact set on August 3, 1985 and I have purchased other brands of pots over the years and this one is the only one I still own. It is, by far, the best set of cook ware you will ever own. No, it doesn't stay all nice and shiny over the years but it does not fall apart like other brands. I remember my grandparents using Magnalite when I was growing up in New Orleans and that was all they had.
It all began when my mother and sisters bought me the 2 quart pot with the handle so I could cook my rice in at my bridal shower. Since then we bought a much bigger pot for a growing family. They are heavy duty and will last for years. I have my small rice pot now for over 41 years. After our kids graduated college. I bought both our grown daughter and son these sets of cookware when they went off on their own. When our dear friend mentioned that they didn't have a rice pot so I remember where I bought the other sets and ordered a set for our dear friends. They loved it!
magnalite pots make cooking a pleasure. no more scorched food. and clean up is a breeze. they come with a fifty year warranty. i feel soo blessed to finally have cookware i can be so proud of.
Had them before. Lost them in the divorce. I've had one set for 23 years of marriage. And been satisfied with them so just replacing them.
My parents have been married for 42 years, and got their first set when they married. I am still using that same set to this day!!!! My husband and I decided to purchase this set to add to our addition and we LOVE them just as much. Very well worth the money!!!
Purchased this set for my son who is moving into an apartment. I've owned a set for 28 years and it is still in great condition. I use it every day and am very happy with this set of pots.
First time I have ordered something from Wal Mart site and pleasantly surprised. Exactly what I ordered and delivered earlier than expected!!!
I love the look of my new cook set and they cook the food very well but the only issue I have is the bottom of pans (interior) staining already. How do I keep them from doing so or how to clean it with out using an ebrasive product?
My Mom, Aunts, grandparents, and extended family have always used Magnalite pots. They were truly a brand that could be passed down from generation to generation. That being said...these aren't the same pots I grew up with. They are good, but they are NOT the same heavy Magnalite pots from the 70's. These are manufactured in China vs the older ones that were manufactured in the US. Nevertheless, they are working pretty well, so far. No complaints in that department. Four stars because I can't vouch for the durability quite yet.
I thought they would be made like the pots my mom have been having for years BUT they ARENT... But they are durable where they can and I love the way they cook!! So overall im satisfied
