My family enjoys sitting outside in the evenings. It's getting to the time where you have to bring out the citronella torchesm or the propane torche for the mosquitoes. Sometimes the torches are just too much, especially if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction. Last night I sat on the porch and lite the tea candle and had it on a table next to me. It was great, there was very little smoke and there were no mosquitoes. Since it was a very warm night, we had mosquitoes before I lite the candle. This will be great when we have outdoor barbecues and the go on into the night. They will also be great when we go camping, they will be easy to pack and give a little extra protection with the torches. We have the propane torches too and they work great, but it always seems there is always at least one place that doesn't get the protection and we have mosquitoes. This will help those spots. I will be stocking up on these candles, you never know when you will need them. I highly recommend them for everyone, they are a great purchase.
I like tea light candles for single use events because they are small and you can spread them out. I love these citronella ones because they have a very strong citronella smell to keep those nasty bugs away. You can spread them around to cover more area. I usually end up wasting the big 3 wick candles because they get left out in the rain then the wicks get ruined.
I am so glad there are Citronella candles that come in a Tealight size. Mosquitoes are drawn to me for some reason so siting out at night during Summer is very hard for me. I collect a lot of glass items and putting these in some of them will reflect so pretty while keeping bugs away.
Unlike other Citronella candles I have tried in the past, I could actually smell the Citronella coming from the candle before even opening the package! The candles are good quality, sit well-balanced on a flat surface, and seem to burn well with a good burn time to them. Definitely a must-have for our spring and summer outdoor activities!
These citronella tea light candles are simple yet very powerful. Even without burning I can smell the strong citronella scent that keeps mosquitoes away. There are six of them in the package, are good for outdoor use only, and good for a smaller perimeter to keep the mosquitoes away. I have a relatively small 5x5, side deck where we like to eat dinner, and these will be perfect for the warm summer evenings when the mosquitoes are most prevalent. I am headed to Walmart today for some cute decorative holders for them. Looking forward to purchasing more throughout the summer.
irst off, these are standard small tea light size . I thought they were larger from the picture. I do like that they fit in any standard tea light holder. We used two of these at the same time on the table. these tea lights on our back patio last night while watching a football game on tv. The mosquitos have been especially bad this summer where live, so I was happy to have them. The smell is a pleasant and light citronella scent. They did seem to help a little with the amount of mosquitos.
I use these Mainstays .35oz Outside Citronella Candle Tealights, Off-White (6 Pack) out on my deck and patio table to keep away the mosquitoes in the evening time when my family is outside having dinner or just relaxing with my husband because without these Mainstays .35oz Outside Citronella Candle Tealights, Off-White (6 Pack) the Mosquitoes are just too bad I would highly recommend these.
I will be getting more of these with summer approaching, this is a great alternative to protect yourself and others from insects, there is nothing to apply or reapply, just light the candle that is near you and enjoy. They have a light lemony scent. I enjoy the glow from the candle, it burned consistently for 4 hours. I was very impressed with the performance of these candles, they work as well as citronella candles costing much more.
I heard buying citronella plants will not help with repelling mosquitoes. I was anxious to try candles/spray since that was more effective. Monsoon season is over for Arizona, since fall is near. So repelling mosquitoes during this time of year, isn't effective since there isn't any. These are a tea light size, comes in a 6 pack. Place Multiple candles in different areas, while outside.
I wanted to love these citronella candles so much. Living in South Texas means you live with mosquitos year a round. I was excited and hopeful when I opened the package. The citronella scent was strong and smelled good. Unfortunately I could not keep them lit. There is a slight breeze but again I live in the "Windy City" of Corpus Christi so there are not many days without at least a little breeze. I attempted to relight the candles many times but only to have them go out after about one minute or so. As you can imagine relighting the candles that often was no only annoying but time consuming. I am sad to say I am disappointed in these candles.
