This twin-sized mattress cover is accident safe and easily used on our in-home hospital bed for elderly parent. It has extra quilted padding that is also comfortable. Highly recommend users select this option because it serves double duty.
After my 4 year-old son had an "accident" on our king sized bed, I knew I couldn't put off buying a mattress pad any longer. The Deluxe Pad is well worth the extra $ from the regular Mainstay Waterproof pad. The microfiber cover that comes with the Deluxe model makes a huge difference and is very soft and durable. There is some heat retention, which is a negative, but to create a waterproof pad, it needs to be made of some type of polymer (in this case 100% polyester) which creates its waterproof properties. I don't hear any "crunchiness" with the pad and it does stay in place with a 15" expanded skirt. I also like that it is not super thick because I like the feel of my mattress without a pad. You might find that the cheaper Mainstay pad works just fine, but I like the feel of this pad much better and it is not a bad investment considering the replacement cost of a mattress.
Didnt think this was going to do an aweful lot concidering how cheat it is but was I wrong. My son had an accident last night, nothing, I mean NOTHING was getting threw this thing. I am so pleased with this product I will be purchasing another one for my queen size mattress. Love also that its a quilted style pad so it doesnt feel thick under your sheets. No noise too! Cant go wrong here
bought this pad along with a quiet comfort pad for my 3-year-old when we purchased his first big boy bed. while i can't speak directly to bed-wetting experience, i will say the first time i washed it, i had to re-run it through the spin cycle because the pad had trapped a lot of water. which says to me it really works. and for $20, you can't beat it. plus, it is a nice looking, soft, comfortable pad with absolutely no annoying crinkly noise. would definitely recommend.
We just bought a Sleep Number bed and needed a waterproof mattress pad for it. This was just perfect - great price and great fit on the bed. I haven't poured water on it to test the "waterproofness" of it, but it appears like it will be just fine. The waterproof layer is in between a top and bottom layer, so it is not crinkly or rough or noisy. I would definitely recommend this product.
My 2y/o put this mattress pad to a full test the 2nd night after I had it on the new bed. It passed with flying colors! We had a major diaper leak, the pad was soaked. The brand new solid white mattress was completely dry, clean, and odor free. Thank you to everyone that posted honest reviews before me. This mattress pad is not plasticky, it's quiet with no crinkle noises, and I didn't notice it raising my body heat any when I slept on it for a test night. It also washed well. I ordered the queen size since no full size was available and it fits a full size mattress well enough. Buy this one and you won't be disappointed.
I am impressed with how comfortable this product is for a waterproof mattress pad. There is no crumpling noise or anything. It also does it's job. My son wet the bed (a large puddle) and nothing got on the mattress. I have been very happy with it.
So far this has proved to be a great product. It has protected our mattress, and.....IT DOES NOT MAKE PLASTIC CRINKLE SOUNDS!! Anyone who has stated that is NOT telling the truth. This mattress pad is quiet and does not feel or sound at all like plastic!
I was going to spend $60-$80 for a nice mattress potector. I decided to get this one instead and see if it would work. I put it on the bed and had my husband roll on it. He hated it! It makes the "laying on plastic" noise everytime he moved. I returned it and bought a $75 one instead. It looked nice and is worth the money.
We purchased this product for use on a sleep number bed. The product is not fully effective on that type of bed since there need to be openings at the head of the bed for the air hoses to go to the mattress. It is also made of stiff material that wrinkles easily, is noisy, and is generally uncomfortable.
