I tried several different rugs and mats at my door to help protect the new carpet but nothing would stay. I finally bought this runner and it's such a relief
It stays in place well and doesn't curl up at the ends. Its also very pliable so I used it on my stairs and it fit perfectly.
We have a golden retriever and a small apartment. This runner helps to cover my computer cable and keep the dog from 86-ing it. Good price
I actually bought this item for a purpose other than advertised and it is perfect. My dog started leaking urine and I was putting heavy gates on the couch when I had to leave the house so she couldn't get up on it and would have to use the lovely expensive dog bed I had purchased for her instead. One of my dog friends suggested the carpet runner laid on the couch with the pokey things up. It works perfectly and is so much easier to lay on the couch than lugging and lifting the heavy gates. Especially since I am a senior. For some reason the dog hasn't removed it from the couch either. Only wish I had known to try this before I spent all that money on a fancy bed she won't use!

I needed a runner to help keep my carper at the front door clean. It needed to be long enough for everyone to walk in and have ample room to take their shoes off while still standing on the runner, and not my carpet. So far, it's serving its purpose!
I purchased these carpet runners to cover the tile pathways that my senior dog travels in our house. She no longer has much strength her hind legs and continued to fall on our tile surfaces. She is doing much better now that she has been walking on these vinyl carpet runners. They are fine indoors, but need to be secured (due to storm winds) in our concrete patio. They are a very cost effective solution to help our senior dog maintain her dignity and mobility.
I was looking for something to protect the carpet in my RV, that I could cut to fit areas. This plastic was easy to cut to size, but doesn't stay in place, even with the little knobs under it. The little knobs need to be longer to hold it in place, or the plastic could be a little thicker as well.
It's not a bad item for the price, but unless you want to bend down and constantly straighten it, I would not recommend this.
