I purchased the memory foam pad to add some softness so our "so-called" pillow top mattress. It has really made a very significant difference. Because of the price, I had not expected to see such rewarding results but I must say I no longer have a backache getting up in the morning. The initial smell dissipates if you let it air out for a few hours before placing it on your mattress. I never noticed it after that. I have a queen bed and it fit just fine. If you desire additional softness, just buy two. It's still cheaper than buying the expensive memory foam and a whole lot cheaper than buying a new mattress set. Overall, it is a great procuce at an unbeatable price, you can't go wrong.
Must admit I didnt know if this would be much help, but after using it for awhile now it has worked much better than what I thought. Within the last year we got a new bed and matress set. The mattress has a nice padding to it but we still werent sleeping well on it. I decided to try this mattress pad hoping to add some softness. The first day I didnt 'think" it felt different but the longer we use it the better it feels. My husband and I have both slept great ever since. Other people in our family are now using the product and enjoying it as well. GOOD PRODUCT and VALUE!
I've purchased this 2 years ago because my bed was passed down from my grandparents. The bed is/was old, but this definately added the support and softness you need. I could tell a difference still to this day that it's on there and still adding the extra "umph" definately recommended, especially for the great value!
This foam pad is exactly what you expect it to be: a simple, inexpensive improvement for uncomfortable mattresses. It provides a bit of extra cushioning that isn't otherwise there, but it isn't going to solve the problem of a terrible mattress. For the prices, you shouldn't expect it to. On a fair mattress, it can provide a little extra comfort. It is especially good (and convenient) on a sofa-bed that usually folds away because it stops uncomfortable bars from disrupting sleep. It's also good if you want to fold in half and sleep on a couch without the separate cushions becoming a nuisance. I had one sent to my mom's for a little relief from the rock-hard guest bed, and another I bought to use when I was visiting my grandfather. They're inexpensive enough that leaving it at a summer home or to share with other guests becomes reasonable. I even have one at home on my bed since my mattress started becoming a little lumpy after 5 years. I had no problems whatsoever as far as smell goes, although I did follow the recommendation and air it overnight before first use. Good product, good price.
I recieved this as a gift for Christmas, was exactly what I expected. Great price and value, does not slip around and provides extra comfort to my older mattress. For best results, I'd reccomend layering two of the same product ontop eachother for maximum comfort, because the foam is not extremely thick, but thick enough. Durable foam, as well. Clean look. Would reccomend.
I am really surprised that 1/2 inch of memory foam can make a difference. Great price/value. This was an experimental purchase & am well pleased. Eventually I will get one of the foam mattresses, most likely the 8 or 12 inch one. Now if only I could find the perfect pillow... :)
I have a hard mattress and bought this pad to help ease my aching bones. It helped a little but not much. To get any real benefit from these pads, you need to use two of them, one on top of the other. You would be better off though if you spent the money on a thicker pad of better quality.
If you're looking for a very basic additional layer of cushion, this is fine. It is not "memory foam" in the strict sense of the word—simply your usual foam. It took awhile to fluff up after removing it from the package, and parts of it never really did. It will not dramatically change the comfort of a mattress, so if you're looking for a significant change, you'll need to spend more. That said, it was fine for my purposes.
I ordered this mattress topper in queen size, but it is too narrow & doesn't fit the bed fully. If I hadn't been charged more than the item price for shipping, this item would have been worth it, but as it is, I am disappointed. The memory foam is a low density, so it doesn't give much support, but it does add some softness to the bed. I have a 3" memory foam topper on my regular bed & I would recommend spending the extra money on a higher quality product if you want the benefits of memory foam.
I bought 3 of these pads. They do not fit. Unfortunately I threw the receipt away before putting them on the beds; otherwise, they would have been returned. These pads in no way fit the beds....too narrow(by about 6 inches) and too short (by about 6 inches). Money wasted here as they will end up in the trash.
