Love this dressing. It is close to Shogun's or Benihana's. Sometimes hard to find in my tiny, rural Oklahoma town.
This is the original ginger dressing that is served on the salads at the Makoto Steakhouse Japanese Restaurant made right here in Melbourne Florida. There can be no comparison to some other Hibachi grill restaurant. This fresh salad dressing can't be beat. You're lucky if you can find it in the fresh produce section of your grocers - everybody buys it up because it is so delicious.
I love the salad dressing at Benihana and when I lived close by, I use to buy my salad dressing there. I'm moved and was pleased to find this tasted very similar. This is composed mostly of cooked onions, but as far as my taste buds are concerned, the ginger over powers the taste of the onions (although I love onions). This is 80 calories per 2 tablespoons. It is suppose to be refrigerated at all times, so it should be somewhere in a refrigerated section rather than on the shelf with the other dressings.
I love this stuff. You can put it on everything.
The gf and I LOVE the ginger dressing they typically give you at most hibachi grills. So we were looking for something comparable, but couldn't find anything that tasted similar until we found this brand. It tastes AMAZING and very similar to what we wanted, even though it doesn't look the same. Another benefit is that it's SUPER LOW in sugar so it's actually a more healthy dressing than most :)

This dressing is TERRIBLE! I LOVE ginger dressing like most people like ranch dressing, and it was DISGUSTING!
When we recieved the item I ordered specifically for my husband because he was asking for it. They tried to keep it cold but it just didn't happen. By the time we got it and opened it. Unfortunately it was sour/spoiled
