BPA free Bottle features special vent and nipple design which interact with each other to replicate breastfeeding for less air intake, less gas and less colic The shape, design, placement and construction of the vent within the MAM bottle allows for a continuous and ultra sensitive response, preventing a build up of internal vacuum The center of the vent opens and closes to release vacuum from the bottle in a continuous process during nursing This continuous opening and closing process is what allows the nipple to react like a breast It allows the nipple to deliver milk in an uninterrupted process just like the breast during breastfeeding The breast shaped nipple contains internal rib structures to encourage "stripping" action and eliminate nipple collapse The silky textured area replicates the soft skin of a mother's breast Model #55632

These bottles are the best! For our other 2 boys we used the platex vent-aire system. We loved them, but with all the BPA issues and the need for new bottles anyway, we opted for these. They are great! Our son has less gas issues than the other two did, so I would have to say they are even better than the vent-aire there. I have read many reviews on these from great to not great...it's a preference. I have no problems with leaks..for those who do I say, put them together better. For those who say there's too many parts, I say, I like it. I can clean them easily without a special bottle brush and I am sure they are clean in all the nooks and crannies and they are not difficult to wash. For those that say they take too long to put together..at night..in the dark, I say, I am the mother of 3 under the age of 4...busy is my FIRST name and it's all about organization. Put them together when they are dry, and then you will be ready to fill them on a moments notice. Trust me..I tried the bowl on the counter with all the parts in it for child number one and quickly learned that wasn't a good method for me. For those who say they can't heat their milk in them, I say...you're not suppose to! Mixing formula in them...don't. I use a seperate glass/measuring cup and then heat in that...or I make formula in advance and pour it in a measuring cup and heat it...that way I can also stir it again to avoid hot spots from microwaving. We used the 5oz and when it was time to move up to the 9 oz our son had no problem switching to the new nipple. If your child does...use the nipples from the 5oz size. The parts are durable and I haven't had to replace any. The only draw back is that they can't be found in stores. But, with Wal-Mart site-to-store you pay the same as you would anywhere else if not less, AND the shipping is FREE!! So, for an affordable BPA free option that is user and travel friendly...these are the best for us! Every baby is different, and not all bottles work for every baby. Sometimes trial and error is the only way to go. But, with that said, I would definitely put these on your 'try' list. :)
My baby loves these bottles. I swithched due to the BPA scare. He took to the different nipple with no trouble. I have not had any problem so far with leaks. However, I have only used a few times at this point. They look great and are different than most of the commonly used bottles. Not use to having to screw the bottoms off ( just another place to spring a leak but so far so good). I would reccomend these bottles if you are trying to use bottles that are BPA. There a lot cheaper than the other BPA free brands by far!!!!!!!
I was using the Playtex Ventaire for a few months and recently switched to the BPA-free MAM Ultivent (similar design). Besides peace-of-mind, I find the Ultivent bottles easy to clean and fun to use. My son took to the new bottle without any problem...in fact, he seems to have an easier time with the natural shape of the nipple. I am very happy with our purchase and will be back for more, especially at the prices Walmart is offering!
These bottles were great for my son especially when he was battling bad acid reflux. I even bought these from my pregnant friends so they could try them. My only complaint is the plastic seals that go in the bottom don't always completely seal when you put them back together.
These bottles are wonderful and have done great things for my son's reflux by not allowing him to swallow too much air. The only thing I can think of bad about them is there are five parts to clean if you take them totally apart, which can sometimes be a pain! That being said, these bottles are BPA free and can be put in the dishwasher, so that helps some! We own about seven sets of these because we love them so much!!
I bought these bottles for my newborn daughter. Yes i know there boy bottles but i wanted color variety. I haven't had the chance to use the 9 oz yet but I have the 5 oz that i use every single day and i absolutely them. So does she, she actually refuses any other nipple at this point. but seh dosen't have colic, and she isn't very gassy, and they are very very easy to clean due to the fact the bottems and tops come off. I definately recommend this product. Seriously tho if your a first time parent i recommend getting at least 4 sets of these so you're only washing them once a day i started with only a total of six bottles and felt like i was doing more washing then anything. But there wonderful !!!
Just got these bottles yesterday and and so far so good. My son took to them after 9 months of Avent bottles. We switched b/c these are BPA free. He took to them immediately. A few extra pieces to wash, but it is worth it! So far so good! Bad thing is that they are hard to find in stores.
I'm happy that after replacing ALL of my expensive Avent bottles due to BPA leeching, that there is an inexpensive alternative. They are good bottles and a good value. However, there are several pieces to assemble and the twist-cap and base can leak and can be difficult to disassemble. Nipples are VERY expensive, so brace yourself.
I purchased these bottles because they are BPA free. I had the Avent Naturally bottles which I liked but after the recent study done on BPA I threw those out. These bottles are one of the cheaper BPA free bottles on the market right now so that is why I bought them. They do have a lot of parts which make assembly a challenge. Otherwise they work fine.
We decided to look for new bottles after the BPA scare. We had been using AVENT bottles and absolutely loved them! We chose the MAM 9 oz boy's bottles because they were BPA free, the reviews were good, and they were relatively inexpensive compared to other BPA free brands. After using these bottles for several months I have decided to try another BPA free bottle brand for several reasons. First, there are a lot of parts to this bottle (6). It takes a bit of time to dismantle, clean, and reassemble them. I also find is difficult to unscrew the bottom of these bottles to clean. I have smaller hands and can't seem to get a good grip on them. Second, I have had the seal (in the bottom) leak on several occasions. I always double check the seal before I add water/formula. Lastly, the nipples collapse and creates a vacuum during feedings. My son has to release the nipple several times during a feeding in order for the nipple to regain its shape. I would not recommend these bottles to anyone. We have to decided to try another BPA free brand (Born Free) because the look and function much like AVENT.
