I received this case rather quickly. I picked it up at my FedEx shipping center. I opened the package and noticed a strong leather smell. But that's normal with any leather product and it normally goes away after a while, which it did. This is a very sturdy case and not some Italian calf super soft, super supple leather. And that's what you need for a iPad case. Because if you drop it in the case and you will, I believe that thick leather will provide some measure of protection. It has an elastic strap to hold the cover in place when folded back. A great idea. It also has a hand strap to I assume hold the iPad when you are standing. Totally useless. I would've liked a small pocket to hold a screen cloth instead. There is a fold out stand to use it in a horizontal position only but it they could've made one to hold in a vertical position also. But it's still a great item for the price and would have no problem buying another one.
This is a really nice quality iPad case, especially for the price--much nicer than a more expensive one that I ordered, and returned, from Kohls--very professional looking--I would order another one and I have no problem recommending it--
