Robert Young of Father Knows Best returned to television in the 1970s with a second massive hit - one that maintained a loyal audience and high ratings on ABC for seven seasons. Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969-76) starred Young as the title character, a genial physician based in Santa Monica, California, whose commitment to the job and warm bedside manner brought him into the personal lives of numerous patients. Season Two of Welby ran from September 22, 1970 through March 30, 1971 and spanned 24 episodes, all of which appear in this box set.
