Yesterday my daughter purchased two of these packs in addition to several other grocery items. Today I opened them to use and discovered slimy, wilted, and foul-smelling vegetables in both packages. Each bears a label that says "Guaranteed delicious if used by 8/14/15." I had to throw out many pieces of especially the sweet red peppers, as well as some of the green pepper bits. There was also a puddle of liquid in the bottom of each tray that was very typical of what one would find in a forgotten bag of old vegetables in the crisper of a fridge. I can think of no acceptable excuse for this experience. I can understand a produce manager slicing and dicing vegetables or fruit that has developed imperfections, and repackaging; that's good use of our resources and prevents waste. Selling produce in such a deteriorated state as was in these packages that are ostensibly 'delicious' for another week is unconscionable.
