Absolutely best salsa ever tasted --- so WHY did Walmart drop it from the Albuquerque, NM market?
This is hands down the best fresh HOT salsa I have found anywhere, including restraunts! Best flavor, ideal heat and texture. Only one downside-I have had 2 unopened tubs (out of more than 20) of it spoil before the expiration dates. It all will work out fine though, they are giving me a lifetime supply as compensation.
My family absolutely loved the Market Fresh Salsa! We tried the new stuff that replaced it & it was absolutely awful! I'd rather by the stuff in a jar. I have looked all over for the Market Fresh stuff & can't find it locally. My son recently went to Tallahassee, FL. & brought 2 containers back home for us. I really wish I could have this stuff shipped to me!
I love this salsa, its the only kind I buy. If you want a hot vinegary salsa this is it. I love it so much, i have been buying it for like 4 years now. I am writing a review now because I recently went to get my fix and it was nowhere to be found!!!??? Did Walmart discontinue it??!! Please tell me I'm not the only one!
This salsa was my absolute favorite salsa until the recipe changed within the last month. It used to have a sweetness that was a perfect compliment to the habanero heat, and it really set it apart from the other salsas. Unfortunately, the recipe was changed, and that sweetness is nowhere to be found. In my opinion the new recipe tastes identical to a standard picante sauce, and is nowhere near as good as before. (The new recipe has a mostly green label and is now called Garden Salsa as opposed to a black label titled Fresh Garden Salsa.) If the recipe is ever changed back to the deliciousness of the old Fresh Garden Salsa, I pledge to buy a tub every time I buy groceries!
The Salsa reeks of vinegar & something else I can't identify. The taste is atrocious - all heat & vinegar. After I got it home, I saw it has haberno.
This was the PERFECT salsa before they changed it. Now it tastes so gross it's not even edible. I bought another after the change hoping it was just a bad batch. Looks like it's just gross now. I'll be buying my salsa elsewhere. Disappointing.
All you can taste is vinegar. I rather just get Pace picante salsa. It taste better than this! Don't waste your money!
All you can taste is sweetness.I wish that I had looked at the ingredients before I bought it. Number two on the list is Sugar. I won't be buying this again.
I bought this thinking it would be a nice complement to my scrambled eggs. I took one bite of this garbage and immediately knew it had SUGAR in it! My wife didn't believe me. "Who puts sugar in salsa", she asked. My reply was "NO ONE!". I grew up and lived with Mexicans and NO ONE puts SUGAR in SALSA!!!! The taste is like putting canned spaghetti sauce or ketchup on your eggs! It has a typical American taste to it. SWEET! There was no heat in it, all I could taste was sugar. It's listed as the third ingredient after tomatoes, which have their own sweetness!!! I couldn't read the instructions until I threw this garbage out! The words are in back so they blend in with the ingredients on purpose. They 'll never get me again! And I'm posting this in Twitter and Facebook. Don't waste your money! Buy ketchup if you like this and put some black pepper in it!
