I love this product. I would buy it every time I went to Walmart except they are usually not in stock. The mild is made with jalapenos and the hot is made with serranos. It's fresh, flavorful, and convenient. I've tried making my own but it never turns out as good and for the price it's a good value.
I have tried this from several stores and this is by far the best , and getting right here at my local Walmart is greay
I purchase this all the time, it saves time in many items that are cooked in my home. The taste is good on its own, but it can be a good base to add more of the items as desired. I estimate that it saves 20-30 min. in dicing time. Then its a time saver in clean up time too!!
I like to use this making an omelette or salad, be creative. Goes well with many dishes
Like most everything at Wal-Mart this pico is mediocre. It's neither good nor bad, it simply is. We buy it for the convenience, not specifically for the taste. If we wanted good pico, we'd make our own. Yet again, human laziness keeps WM in business.
Didn't look all that fresh and when opened smelled rotten. Probably will not buy again and make my own fresh.
I bought this just to try to cut corners and I wish I would have just made my own. It's vinegary tasting.
I was so excited for taco night. Got all of my ingredients home, including the Marketside Pico De Gallo from the Mansfield PA Walmart. After making my children's plate and watching them eat, I loaded my tacos down with the fresh salsa and as I spooned the remaining product onto the last taco, I noticed something in the Pico De Gallo. A FEATHER!!! Now I have always wondered how clean our local Walmart was, as I enjoy many of their freshly prepared food items. Today I found out! Cross contamination is a real thing! And it is happening at the Mansfield Pennsylvania location.... WHAT ABOUT YOUR LOCAL WALMART?!? Bar code: 681131532037 I have some Amish Macaroni Salad that I also bought at my local Walmart...I want to eat it but I'm scared!!
I buy this product often, or at least I did. We love the taste, it used to be so fresh and delicious. But the last couple times I bought it the juices were foggy and slimy. I'm pretty sure this product was bad so we had to toss it. Don't like wasting money on products that have already turned.
See photo. This is how much jalapeño I had to pick out of the "mild" pico de gallo. With the time it took me to stand there and sift through and pick out those absurdly large chunks of pure heat, I could have made my own. And that wasn't out of a full container. It was only half full after settling by the time it got to Walmart. Walmart needs to end their relationship with this company and go back to the outfit that used to provide them with fresh salsas and the like that were tastier and higher quality.
