This is a super smart way to get those envelopes closed. Works GREAT
The ball pictured appears to be solid but the one that comes with this is clear and cheap looking. It does work well. I ordered it for a finger moistener to be able to pick up money more easily as I count a lot of money in a day. It does the job.
The ball (pingpong ball) inside of the unit is not rolling very well (probably because of the pressue of the water underneath). It is workable but I do not think it is worth $12.
I bought this and took it to work, the ball color is clear. I thought I would try it to moisten envelopes, but its kinda of awkward to use. I have to glide the envelope over it and follow it with my fingers the length of the envelope that comes to a point in the middle. I think the sponge moistener might have been a better choice but I wanted something that I didn't have to keep replacing. It's not exciting as it sounds.
