This Wreath tree skirt made by Bucilla and designed by Mary Engelbreit is very beautiful but I wouldn't recommend it for the beginner. The individual elements that are sewn onto the wreath part of the skirt are somewhat intermediate in sewing ability level. The application of the wreath itself to the skirt and the individual element directions included in the kit are somewhat difficult to understand. If I hadn't already made 9 tree skirts by Bucilla, I would have needed to call the help line for help with comprehending the directions! But if you can interpret the directions, the finished product is well worth the effort. I do a lot of hand sewing and this kit took me approx 40 hours and close to three weeks to complete. It is gorgeous and I'm not giving this one away...I am keeping it for my family Christmas tree.

Wonderful addition to Christmas decorations Just what I was looking for! Great colors and easy to follow instructions. I would say that this is not a beginner project .
Unless you are an expert at sewing or enjoy intricate arts and crafts DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SKIRT. It was decieving to see online what I thought was a beautiful skirt that would be perfect for my sons first christmas and to open the box and find large pieces of cloth with cut outs to hand make the skirt. The end result would definately not look as pictured but maybe I may find time when he is a teen to sit and create this skirt -_-
