Have used this a few times since purchasing. Wife says the brisket is better than what I smoked on the Traeger!
I dont see what the issues are with other people but I love this Smoker, The Bluetooth is a nice plus..The only thing that I think could be a little better is how you add your wood chips,it's a little bit small and hard to get pieces of wood in there. It would be better with a removable canister like some of the other ones have but other than its perfect for me
I received this in December 12ish. I put it together on Christmas and 2 and a half uses later it doesn't work. So disappointing spending 300 dollars on something that doesn't work. I actually tried my research and thought I got a good one but I guess I didn't. I'm sending it back I have the protection plan hopefully it works too. Spending so much money for this thing to stop working after 2 uses it should be taking off the market until they work consistently
Bluetooth doesn't work otherwise it performs well
Although Ive only seasoned the smoker and used it to smoke one pork shoulder, I am impressed with it! A few questions I had prior to purchase which might help others: Yes, the smoker can handle up to 3 additional temp probes in addition to the one it comes with. Yes, a standard 30 cover will fit the unit for length and width, but it is short of the bottom of the smoking unit and will not cover the legs. Yes, you can equip the unit with a rotisserie. No, I would not use wood chips in the unit , it is specifically built for wood chunks. I also noticed a few items to consider about the unit: Direct sunlight does affect the temp of the sensor. In direct sunlight, the unit will read a higher temp and not kick on the element as much. The unit should be in the shade for consistent results. Keep the ash catcher as empty as possible. Opening the door with a wind can cause ash to fly out into the smoker on the food. If you're not using a rack or accessory, take it out of the smoker. Cleaning is faster if there are less items to remove suit from. At full smoke, wood will last about an hour of filled moderately. The Bluetooth set up has a fair range, but more than about 30 feet unobstructed or 15 from inside a house loses signal. Not all features are available on the app, but all monitoring of temp, meat temp, and smoke setting as well as timers and reminders can be seen and adjusted. Its heavy, but has wheels and castors. Id guess about 75 lbs. Overall, Im novice at smoking but this unit makes it easy to learn. Id recommend the unit if looking to get started.
Works great and food taste very good!
Works as advertised although the Bluetooth is less than desirable. Disconnects when more than 10' away. Mine also didn't come with the axel for the wheels. I wrote Masterbuilt about this twice and never got a response. So unfortunately mine doesn't roll.
quit working after 3rd use control panel went out
Received error 2 during first time cooking. Before cooking I did season by setting on high and allowing to run for 3 hours, adding wood for the last 45 minutes. I also purchased the rotisserie so I decided to first cook a chicken. The smoker shutoff 3 times and i had to turn it off and back on to get it restarted. Ended up cooking the chicken for 6 hours and it still was not done. Ended up just throwing out the chicken. I contacted masterbuilt's email only support though I have not heard back yet.
I thought I would absolutely love this smoker and I did, but after using it ONE TIME, it showed an error code "Err2" on the screen the next time I tried to start it and won't work at all. I submitted a support ticket but have never received any response. I have owned this smoker for months and only been able to use it once. The error code isn't shown anywhere in the manuals Masterbuilt provides. I am incredibly disappointed that I can't get any help with this. Terrible, terrible customer service.
