I cannot find the item anywhere except online. It was what I needed.
The local WalMart is no longer carrying this product in the store and neither are other merchants. I was very happy to find them at WalMart online. They came promptly and were just the brand I needed. I bought 4 packages!
At first I didn't care for the 'silicon -type' because they'd "roll" when compression of curler was applied to lashes after some time. Couldn't/can't seem to find the 'rubberized-type', so went with these. They're fine now, if I replace when it starts to 'do the roll thing', which is a good amount of time. (1 - 2 mos.) Again, as with the Ultra Brow product (ordered at same time), I cannot get them in the Wal-Mart store in town. So instead of driving 30 -45 mins to another town/Wal-mart, I'd rather pay the small shipping (especially w/gas being high). Saving MY drive-time is worth the shipping.
I didn't realize it, but the order included two packages. My only complaint is that they don't seem to stay in my curler too well. They do work though...
I'm 69 years old and I've been using the Maybelline eyelash curler since I was allowed to wear mascara....a very long time ago! I finally had to throw away the very last white RUBBER curler refill last week that I kept using even though it was way past it's usefulness! I dreaded the black silicone refill and it was exactly as it was the last time I tried them...HORRIBLE! I put the old white rubber refill back in, but it just split and died finally...RIP!! PLEASE bring back the white rubber curler refills...PLEASE, I am begging you, Maybelline.
I've been using my maybelline curler forever and never had any issues until using these black curler refills. They are not staying put in my curler and move up and out before I can curl my lashes. I hope maybelline will listen to all of these unsatisfied customer comments and do something about it. I will have to get another curler and I really don't want to.
I have the same frustrating problem that I see others are having with these black rounded refills. They keep popping up out of the groove, and as the top part of the curler comes down, it bypasses the refill and comes down in front of it rather than resting on the top therefore...no curling. It takes me forever to get a good curl as I have to fix this many times for each eye. I had no problems with the old white flat refills. I have to assume they were changed so we had to buy more refills but the new ones have the same issue as mentioned before. I am 66 yrs old and have used a Maybelline curler since I was 15 and never had a problem with the white pads.
I have used these refill pads in my Maybelline eyelash curler for years. I'd read reviews from people who'd had issues, but I never did . . . until last fall when I opened a new package (identical to previous packages) and the refills were noticeably thicker than the old ones. In addition, the indentations for the handle "stems" were markedly smaller. The new ones simply would not go into the slot, no matter how hard I tried. I opened another package (I had several) and went on with my day. Then it happened again this week -- with every new package I had on hand! I'm now throwing away multiple brand new packs of these, because they simply will NOT go into my curler. In the attached photo you can see the difference in the indentations between my older pad and one of the new ones.
I've been using these refills for years -- I've bought them in store, through Amazon, and through Walmart.com. In the past few months I've had three packages of them that simply will not fit into my Maybelline eyelash curler. They look identical to previous packages, but the refills are thicker, so they don't go down into the slot correctly. Plus, the indentations for the handle supports are visibly -- and markedly -- smaller. (see photo of older refill and new one) Bottom line -- these simply do not work anymore.
They do not fit the Maybelline lash curler well at all. One side keeps popping out after each use
