About five years ago I bought the granite colotrd mailbox post along with a new heavy duty mailbox like the one in the product photo. I put it up and we loved the look and quality of the product. Well, a couple weeks ago in the middle of the night, someone stole our neighbors Buick Enclave right out of their garage and got caught by the homeowner. In his flight to escape capture he backed out of their garage at a high rate of speed and backed down the block destroying a couple mailboxes and wrecking the Enclave. He bailed and ran away. Our mailbox was largely intact but the post was bent and holes were knocked into the corners from its hundred foot tumble down the concrete street. How the metal mailbox escaped injury is beyond me. I ordered a replacement post and we are back in business. Great product with a great look.
Great product, easy to assemble
I recently purchased this mailbox and couldn't be more pleased. It makes such a statement out by the curb of our home and is very classy looking. It doesn't resemble any other mailbox that you would typically see. So unique, I'm very pleased with my choice.

I'm an architect and had designed a mailbox post to be made of wood, and painted. Instead, we did this Liberty post - and it's so much better, easier, and less expensive. The details are well-planned. The scale is substantial. Requires a wood post set solidly into the ground in concrete or gravel. We used a 6 x 6 instead of the 4 x 4, and added blocking behind the mailbox and screwed through the back of the box, and into the 6 x 6 post, so that it's extremely solid. The mailbox isn't included. A mid-size or large mailbox is best for this larger post. No maintenance!
Nice detail and definitely a statement piece! Fair price and quick shipping. Hardware provided for mounting to existing 4x4 post for easy install. Took less than 20 mins start to finish.
Easy to install and stylish. We wanted something that wasn't your common looking mailbox and thats what we got. Very happy with product.
