Assist Mode In Assist Mode, the computer can play either hand of the piano for you, so you can focus on one hand at a time, while also hearing what the other hand should sound like. So for example, you can turn "Right Hand Assist" mode on, and only play the left hand, while the computer plays the right hand notes for you. Learn Mode Learn Mode is the core of the Illuminating Piano and McCarthy Music software. Learn Mode allows you to step through any piece of music, note by note, with the keys lighting up as you need to play them.
