Not all chili poweder is the same. I tried a store brand and it didnt tastes good. I have stuxk with McCormick. They have been around since I was little. I grew up on their seasonings. Very consistent. This gives recipies the perfect flavor. The co tsiner is handy. I appreciate the shaker and measuring opening on the lid. I love this for homemade taco seasoning, dips, chili and more. All natural so m we can avoid artificial flavorings and colors!
I used cooked ground beef drained, fried half yellow onion, diced Serrano pepper, chopped Roma tomatoe, than added the beef can dicedtomatoes, can of rinsed red kidney and can of rinsed black beans ,6 oz can of( ls) tomatoe sauce ,garlic powder, some water and 10 min of simmer.Very tasty and not chauky like others.
I am sorry but it's too far to pick up. I Bought it at the closer Walmart.
Great consistent quality and flavor every time
I appreciate the fact that they left it on my doorstep I'm disabled and that helped me a lot
I have used only McCormick Chili Powder for 25+ years. I confidently took a new container off the shelf of Publix, opened it at home, and used it for a fresh pot of chili I was making. Eventually I realized there was no chili "smell" to the pot I was making. When the chili was served, it was a lovely ground beef, bean, and tomato soup, but definitely NOT chili. Belatedly I smelled the spice in its container. No expected chili odor. None. What has happened to McCormick's wonderful chili powder? Now I am on the search for a different chili powder. So sad. A reliable flavor used for years is gone. Why did McCormick change its formula?
I received the wrong item. I ordered chili powder, but instead I received red pepper flex.
have used mccormick chili powder for years got a new jar the other day and not the same has no heat used twice as much as usual and the flavor and heat level was way off . please try to advise what you did to you receipe.
Does this LOOK 👀 like my APARTMENT DOOR 🚪 ???? NO MISSING ORDER …. Your AGENT rudely said it was DROPPED oFF …!!!
I've bought McCormick chili powder many times in the past, and it was fine. For some reason, this bottle was awful! It seemed to have no cayenne, no rosemary, no cumin, no garlic...in other words, no flavor! I think the red color was paprika; at least, that's the only thing I could figure out. I really don't understand. I ended up mixing about a cup of the above ingredients in place of adding more chili powder. (I made a really big batch of chili, and I wasn't about to let the McCormick spice ruin it.) My chili came out just fine, but I don't know what happened to a spice that ought to have been simple and easy to use. I guess it will be up to Walmart to figure it out. My advice is, if you are an online shopper, like me, be prepared for things like this to happen. The same thing can happen with shoes, clothes, accessories, other foodstuffs; the size may not run true, the color(s) may not match the picture, or the taste may not be what you were expecting. Be flexible. I have very little choice. I pretty much have to shop online. The other side of the coin is that sometimes you get a delightful surptrise! The clothes you weren't sure you really liked turn out to be lovely and look great on you. The boots you "just kinda" liked look super with your favorite jeans. Life is an adventure. Live it! (But, I am returning the chili powder!)
