My husband is picky. Well you made a believer out of him. We all loved it. I chose to broil the chicken. Marinade was easy to prepare and I allowed the chicken to soak about 3 hours. Tasty, tender and juicy. Will definitely buy again AND this time it's going on the grill.
This is wonderful:)!!! 100% recommend to everyone. My husband is not a huge rib guy, so we used it on pork chops and it was super delicious. You just open the packet of rub, rub it on your meat raw. We were generous with our run portions. And it says left marinate for 2 hours, but we left it marinating over night. It took about 40 min at 425 to cook our meat and it was perfect. Juicy, tender, the rub gives it a strong bbq ribs taste (even though we cooked pork chops in the oven). It's a little tangy, sweet, and a slight kick to it. Just enough to enjoy, not enough to burn. I don't do spicy well and I loved this rub. We will defiantly be purchasing and using again. Soon!!
I first used this last year for a bbq. I followed the instructions on the pkg minus the vinegar and the chicken wings came out oh so good. It is the only seasoning that I will be using now for my bbq. I ventured out and tried it on some baked chicken and oh boy it was oh so good, too. Most recently I made some chicken and noodles and used it also to season the chicken legs. This marinade is a multi purpose season/marinade. If you are going to use it as a seasoning don't use the liquid and oil. Just the packet is all you will need for your chicken, pork, etc.
I made this marinade according to directions, and it turned out wonderfully. As you can see from the photo, I used 2 boneless skinless chicken breast pieces--but I could have easily used 4. The package says to use 2 lbs of meat. I used my trusty cast-iron skillet to grill the chicken indoors, and there are a couple of things I would do differently: in order to get more flavor into every bite, I would hammer the breast meat into a larger, thinner shape before adding the marinade (put the meat into a freezer bag, or use several layers of plastic wrap and/or waxed paper, and use a mallet or the flat side of a tenderizer mallet). Alternatively, cutting the meat into strips before marinating and cooking would accomplish the same thing. The flavor is amazing and restaurant-quality. I would have liked more of the cilantro flavor to come forward, but the citrus and other flavors are truly tasty. There is an alternative recipe on the package that calls for orange juice instead of water, and I will try that next time.
Grill Mates Slow & Low Memphis BBQ Rub adds a great deep flavor to any meat. The package gives directions to use the seasoning over Ribs but I used it over chicken and it turned out moist and delicious. I followed the rest of the directions and wrap the chicken allowing it to marinate in the fridge overnight before putting it on the grill. The package of seasoning although appears small there is plenty to season atleast 3 - 4lbs of meat. The flavor was sweet without being overly so and had a slight kick of heat and smoky flavor. Perfect for those summer BBQ's and very easy to use. It really does take all the guess work out of what to season the meat for the grill with.
This packet of Montreal Steak Grill Mates was worth it's weight in gold. We followed the instructions on the package and ended up with 2 wonderful tasting and juicy steaks. We've tried the Montreal grinder before and this product is every bit as good. It has a bold, flavorful taste and a lasting affect to your steaks. You won't be disappointed if you try this product, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to a friend or family member. If a great bold taste is what you're after in a marinade, you'll be happy with this product.
This is a dry rub that you're suppose to rub on your meat and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours or overnight. I refrigerated mine overnight. The longer it marinates, the better the flavor. You're also suppose to slow cook it on a gas grill. I don't have a gas grill so I cook mine in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes and it had that same smoked barbeque flavor that you get if you had grilled it. My son even said that it tasted like it was cooked on the grill. I used this rub on chicken instead of ribs. It came out with a golden brown color. I highly recommend anyone to try this.
We used the Baja Citrus marinade with chicken before grilling it. The chicken had a zesty tang to it with a hint of orange and lemon. The perfect combination for the grilled chicken salads we made with them. We marinated the meat for only about 1 hour and the flavors were infused beautifully. You could see the spices on the chicken as they cooked. The flavor was light and flavorful. Perfect for a summer barbeque! My children and husband had the leftovers for two more nights and not complaint was heard. I do believe that constitutes success in my family!!
So I got this because hubby uses this seasoning line along with Weber Steak and Chop on our steaks when he grills. Since I love wet marinades, I thought I would be great to try a product line I already love. It is a great marinade with the same bold seasoning found in the dry rub. I mixed mine with olive oil and some white wine. I let the meat sit for a couple hours to really get that flavor. I made the mistake of adding some of the dry rub on it before the grill. It does not need that, as the seasoning in the marinade is quite enough. It makes the meat juicy but doesn't overwhelm the meat's natural flavors. It's not a sweet or sour marinade. Just a delicious bold meat enhancer.
