simply wonderful. i had purchased another can of pickling spice but couldn't use it because it had soybeans, soy oil in the ingredients. fortunately this brand does not contain soy which is perfect for breast cancer patients.
I think it is the perfect spice to use when boiling crab legs. It gives them a little kick, but not to much heat.
I liked the service and the product.
I use this for not only a pickling spice while canning/preserving veggies but for additional flavor when cooking corned beef and cabbage. Could not find it in a couple of stores here locally! I'm praying McCormick does not discontinue!
The BEST spice!! Stopped carrying it in our store. Have had it instock for YEARS!! Had to purchase it online. PUT was very convenient.
I always keep pickling spice on hand, so when I need a few dollars added to my order for free shipping, this was an easy choice. I don't do canning, but I love pickles, beets, peppers and anything else typically brined. I often "recycle" the pickling juice to customize my beets, quickly store some cucumber slices and fresh peppers and mushrooms. By using these pickling spices, some olive oil, natural vinegar and other simple ingredients, I can create some great garnishes, relishes, and snacks! Great "go to" spice!

I have been looking for this particular spice for months for my friend. At the two major markets the shelf was empty but had a price of almost $5.00 or more. Tried Walmart on line and they did have it which surprised me they had a much lower price, free shipping and it came within one day, again surprise.
