I bought these because I've been wanting to expand my culinary options on backpacking and other camping trips. So far, I have used these on a kayak camping trip. I made a Shells %26 Cheese with the Black Pepper flavor and added some fresh broccoli florets. It was pretty good. For breakfast, we mixed the black pepper flavor in with scrambled eggs and ate as breakfast burritos. Again, not bad at all. I finished the remaining meat straight out of the pouch as a snack later, and that was also pretty satisfying. A bit expensive for everyday meals, but a great addition to any camp chef's kitchen, especially if refrigeration is an issue.

I've tried several of the pulled pork options Walmart offers, but most have way too much sauce and barely any meat. When there is meat, it's usually small pieces and full of fat. I was hesitant to give this product a try, but I'm so glad I did! Unlike others, this is just pure dried meat—no sauce at all—which means I can add it to so many different dishes. And the best part?
