I cannot believe how good this thing works. I have had it about 2 months now. I am thinking of buying an extra one in case of this one breaking. The difference it has made with just talking with my wife, might have saved my life.
When you tire of cupping your hand to your ear to hear words, this fills the bill. It fits comfortably, amplifies without distortion and volume controls are easy to manage. They hold a good charge and charge completely n 8 hours. My first lastest a year, but I will take care of this one so it lasts longer and buy a spare.
Very good for the price. Only thing that would improve is a longer tube on the earpiece.
First, there is a a mistake in the description, these amplifiers are NOT rechargeable. That said, they are very good at doing what they are designed to do. For the last 12 to 15 years I've worn two different brands of "hearing aids," each costing between $3,500 and $4,000 a pair, and the minute I put these on I was shocked to hear what I've not heard for all those years. It took a couple of hours to find the best fit among the 3 included ear pieces and volume adjustment for each ear and my hearing was further improved. Conversations, at home with my wife and in a restaurant with another couple and some background noise, were at least 30 to 50 percent more clear and understandable then they had been with the audiologist prescribed solid gold junk I had been using. Dialog, in Netflix movies, was much easier to understand and I could hear water running in the sink and in the toilet tank for the first time in years. The name on the boxes is "newear" and I was extremely happy with what I was able to hear although they are larger than what I would like and after several hours wearing they were a bit uncomfortable. After about two weeks, I ordered and received the "rechargeable" version of the newear which is smaller, therefore less visible when worn, and has what is a softer and to me more comfortable fit in the ear. I am more completely satisfied. Thank you Walmart, for showing me this monstrously money saving device, for helping me to really hear again and for making it very easy to change to my original choice, a rechargeable device.
Would have great but not what I wanted!!
Using the supplied hardware and charger the charging light lit for 3 seconds then went out. Left it plugged in for a day and it didn't amplify sound. Have tried to return the item but received no response from the vendor.
