This is the best rollator and inexpensive. my mom was able to walk with this device after spending months in quarantine. She cant walk more than 50 feet without severe exhaustion. The best part is rest periods she just sat down and i wbeeled her around the store

This walker is so affordable and much less than mini. It is so sturdy it works so well it was so easy to put together. I love the extra warranty you can buy and I'm sure it won't last for a year. I'd like that it's not so heavy, but it works very well.

Medline Steel Rolling Walker

I received this Medline Steel Rolling Walker in Burgundy. I really like the color. I have been using crutches for years now as my knee is in need of replacement. I was a little scared to use a walker because I thought it could go ahead of me as I was pushing and my knee wouldn't walk as fast as I was pushing. Well needless to say I was wrong. The breaks are really great so I can control when I need to stop. It is very light weight for pushing around being that it is made of steel I thought it might be a bit heavy, again I was wrong. I love that it has a seat because nothing is worse that walking around in stores etc and your body needs to sit and rest so having the seat gives me that luxury. Also it has a pouch under the seat so you can store your wallet or whatever you want in it. It is the length of the seat which makes it a nice size storage. It has nice soft grips on the handles for easy pushing. It glides really easy across carpet as well and it holds up to 350 lbs. It wasn't that hard to put together. I would definitely recommend this walker.

After receiving my Medline Steel Rolling Walker, [model # MDS8685OESKD], I proceeded to assemble it. Assembly was fairly easy and no tools were needed to do so. The weight of the walker itself is approximately 19 lbs. Depending of the need to actually lift the walker or load it, 19 lbs. was slightly heavy but manageable to me. The seat on the walker is right at 11 1/2"x 11 1/2" inches, and the walker itself folds up for easy storage. According to the instruction manual, the maximum weight limit should not exceed 350 lbs. One thing to note is that the Medline Rolling Walker is completely latex free, so those with a latex allergy need not be concerned. The basket under the padded seat also measures at about 11 1/2"x 11 1/2" inches, but the recommended allowed weight limit for the pouch is 10 lbs. or less. The basket is also removable. The rolling walker should never be used as a wheel chair as injury may occur. The height of the walker is fully adjustable. Always make sure your walker is fully opened before each use. The brakes lock by pulling down on the brake handles and making sure they click into the locked position. Always lock the brakes before attempting to be seated. Never use the walker to pull or lift yourself up as it may roll even when in the locked position. I find that the 6" inch wheels allow the walker to roll very easily on tile, and concrete. When on carpet or grass I was also able to roll forward and backwards very easily, but I recommend being more cautious on rugs and in the yard. I found the Medline Rolling Walker to be very durable, comfortable, and very easy and helpful to use. Great product, but to avoid injury make sure to fully read "All" instructions and cautions provided to you in your manual. .

Very nice walker

Very easy to put together, sturdy for my weight, (165) seat is smaller than the one on my Dads 450 weight walker but a nice size. Like the basket much better than my Dads wire basket because you do not have to remove this bag to fold up and put in car. Is a very nice walker and used it during my back injury. Very nice walker

Nice design with strong steel frame

For starters, the walker comes in a quite compact box, so you know there's an assembly project coming up. However, it's pretty quick and intuitive with no tools required. The six fasteners have large knobs for tightening. I recommend saving the box, for if the walker needed to be stored, transported, or shipped somewhere, it would be just as easy to disassemble back into a very compact form without tools. The walker has large 6 inch (15 cm) wheels, and it works well on even rough pavement or sidewalks for outdoor walks. You can take a nice walk outside and then rest under a tree on the comfortable seat after locking the brakes. I tried deliberately scraping the wheels sideways on linoleum and saw that they are non-marking. The burgundy color is really nice, and the frame is steel (not aluminum) for strength. This rollator has a removable storage bag under the seat that uses easily accessed fasteners. Some other walkers have a wire basket rather than an under-the-seat bag. It's easier to just lay items in a basket, but the bag offers more privacy for personal items in group home communities, where also theft can sometimes be a problem.

Arrived in good shape and speedy.

I haven't put this together or tried it yet, but several people in my apartment complex have the same model and seem to like it. It's not for me. I have seen people in my complex that have the old school silver walkers with two wheels and tennis balls for feet. They struggle and fight with the old walkers just to get up a walkway, getting caught on grass, cracks and sometimes even little stones. I bought this because the Lord touched my heart and told me to get it so that I may bless someone's life with easier mobility. Can't wait to see who the Lord directs me to gift it to. It arrived speedily and in good condition. The outer box was damaged but the inner box was well padded and unscathed. It is heavy (which usually means it's made from sturdy materials). I'm sure it will be just fine for whoever gets it. My thanks to Walmart for making it available at such an affordable price, even on my limited income.

A great light and sturdy Steel Rolling Walker

As I age (60), I find myself being very focused on the weight of any items I purchase, as I’m the one who moves heavier items around the home. The same goes for medical support equipment my wife or I need as we age, finding ourselves more and more in need of these items. We also consider ease of use, durability, stability, storability, and that we both are able to use the same item (adjustable). With all these prerequisites to consider, we found that the Medline Basic Steel Rollator with 6” wheels met all our criteria. The weight is only 17.6 pounds and seems very sturdy. It was very easy to assembly by using click in metal buttons and spin knob bolts, taking only 15 minutes, requiring no tools; great manual, too! It has a nice padded vinyl seat (21”h x 12x12pad), with a removable back support bar; note the max hip width is 17-3/4”. Under the lift top seat, is a nice nylon carry bag, for carrying small items: 12”w x 7.5d x 5” deep (down). The handbrakes work in two directions: 1) Squeeze and it slows and stops the turning rear wheels, 2) push down on them and they lock the rear wheels; pull up to release the locks. The wheels are made of a hard ballistic plastic, which work well in the house on hardwood floors, tile, and low to medium pile carpet and rugs; too include outdoor smooth pavement. The front two wheels will turn completely around, while the rear wheels are fixed in a straight line. The max weight for the user is 350 pounds, so if you are close to this weight, I would recommend a higher weight rated rollator. When the handle is fully extend, it is 34.5”, which just fits me, and ‘m 6’ tall. I would suggest you drop your arms to your side and have someone measure height from the floor to the crook of your hand between your thumb and index finger; your max should be 30.5”, as you need 4” to have a slight bend in your elbow. The handle bars will adjust down another five inches, for those a bit shorter. I do think they need to make it to be a bit taller for those over 6-foot tall. It folds up very easily for storage or transportation. Without removing any parts, you can fold it to a thickness of 21”, or if you remove the back bar and handle bars, you can get it down to be only 7.5” thick. Overall, for our use, it works exactly as we need it to, and I’ve been using it for a week now, due to my recent knee replacement. I really like the padded seat, as I can transport my coffee, water, food, etc. on it! It maneuvers very well throughout the house. A very good buy!

Wonderful assistive device

Reviewed in the USA on 2015-05-08T17:00:00

Medline’s Rollator rolling walker is an excellent assistive product, made by a company well-known for their transport devices such as wheelchairs and walkers. The Rollator is sturdily constructed of light but durable tubular components and has four wheels which offer steady but smooth movement over both floor-type hard surfaces as well as grassy ground. When challenged to maneuver a gravelled drive, however, the wheels tend not to move well and the unit could tip. Braking is easy, even for someone with very arthritic hands and wrists, because of the paddle style handles and brake levers. The brakes are lockable in the event that you should need to park the walker or if you should choose to stop and rest, sitting on the comfortable padded seat. What I found nice is that, even as a relatively short person, sitting and getting back up is effortless thanks to the height of the seat; oftentimes seats are so low that it is a challenge for arthritic joints to try to stand up from a low position. The seat lifts up to reveal a handy storage area large enough to stow some small personal belongings in order to afford hands-free mobilization. There is also a padded backrest which doubles as a handlebar; this is removable but I can’t imagine why anyone would not want it on there. All components, both painted and plastic surfaces, are easily cleanable and can be assembled, adjusted or repaired with a minimum of effort and with readily available small, simple tools. The walker can be folded down for storage or to be loaded into a vehicle and has a small securing strap to hold it closed. I found the Rollator to be very comfortable, easy to use and quite attractive in the burgundy color. It is good for use either at home or in public to steady oneself, to take a periodic rest or as a seat while doing chores such as folding clothes or cutting vegetables. It could also be very useful for someone who has had a foot injury or surgery in order to keep the injured foot elevated and not bear weight on it constantly. Kudos to Medline for a great product!

Temporary Fix

I fell off of my Lumex Walker and I had to have something quick to make it to Emory to see my Primary Care doctor. The back wheels don't rotate so I'm dragging that wagon. And we had to replace the seat . It was too small for my wagon.
