My son loves halo and legos, he just had his 10th birthday a few days ago and we have this to him. He was beyond excited! It's easy to build and we had fun putting it together as a family and them playing with them. This is a great gift for a older child! Lots of fun for the whole family!! This set was perfect for my 12 year old. I like that they now have the sets for "pro" builders. He likes halo the video game and this set was perfect. It had over 700 pieces so it took some time to put together but was worth it. Kept him entertained and doing something other then playing actual video games for hours. He said the design was cool and spot on. He definitely recommends this to other kids his age. The difficulty aspect may be harder for younger mega block enthusiasts but is great for those "pros" [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We liked the fact that the construction was complicated enough that the boys were challenged for several hours in making it. We also liked the fact that the package was generous in its parts. The boys loved working on it together. My husband and I felt it was well worth the cost.
We received this set about 2 weeks ago. My 11 year old has literally spent hours building with both the paper instructions included as well as the second online set of instructions! It is well made and compatible with all of his other brands of block sets. We are no stranger to Mega Construx and will continue to purchase. As always, they are durable, well made and the theme is perfect for his age and interests! It's nice to see him choose something over playing video games again! My son absolutely LOVES this Halo Infinite Mega Construx kit. The characters have so much detail, even when you take the helmets off their faces are very exact. I like that the pieces are seperated by numbers so you dont have to dig through 700 pieces to find the one you're looking for. The instructions are very easy to understand. I chose this set for my teenage son who loves video games and building sets. Although it is a game that he has not played, I thought he would enjoy the build. It is large with some unique pieces. He started out strong by putting the figures and the small ATV together . He started the turret, then the set sat on our bar for days. The unfamiliarity of the game/theme actually worked against me. When the build resumed, it went quickly until step 70. All 6 pieces of Part #AM80120AWC were missing. This is an important piece where the studs need to line up with a bigger piece, so construction was stopped again. Although no fault of the set design, it does not seem like it can continue to its final form. I think the alternate build may be a better choice for my son. The set and figures seemed sturdy with playability potential. The colors of this set look like they would fit in with other sets/different themes that my son has displayed.
