We haven't used all the pieces yet, but the paint brushes passed with flying colors with colored paint soap in the tub with a 4 year old to rave reviews (and repeat requests). Looking forward to slightly less messy paint sessions with the nifty cups. The chalkboard eraser also works great.
I bought this to match the Melissa & doug easel that my friend gave my son. The paint is great for a toddler, is washable and doesn't stain. The little containers are also great, they avoid big messes! My toddler is using these with his easel and he loves it!
This product is great and I was so overwhelmed with all the supplies it came with. Can't wait till I can play with this with my daughter. She'll love it.
We bought an easel for our granddaughter back when she was 2, and now she's 6 and the supplies that she has made much use of just really needed a refresh. This pack is bringing her much happiness, not to mention introducing her 2-year-old sister to the easel!
We use this product with our easel, which we purchased at an earlier date. We bought other brands of paint and paper, but nothing compares to the quality of Melissa and Doug. It might be a tiny bit more expensive, but I think you get what you pay for! My daughter loves when I take her easel outside to paint. The paint easily washes out of EVERYTHING! A great buy and when we run out of paint, we'll be back to purchase more!

It comes with 4 primary color paints that are non-toxic and washable. You get red, blue, yellow, and green. The colors are rich and vibrant and, again, washable, as we discovered after getting the paint all over our hands:) The paint cups are wonderful and have a spill proof design and have lids to keep the paint from drying out. It comes with cups for the paints that includes tops with holes for the paint brushes that also come with the set. The cups minimize spillage of the water. It also comes with chalk and an eraser. The kit contains everything that your child needs to begin painting. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.
We have a 15" easel and it would have been great to buy the package with the 15" roll of paper. I would recommend offering 2 options for the different sizes.
I got the art set for my 3 year old for Christmas. He is using the chalk for his chalkboard, the large eraser for chalkboard and dry erase board. While I was beside him, having prepared the paints in the cups and cut paper from the included roll, he spent a long while creating 5 paintings. The paints were washable and he did some finger painting with them too, but he cleaned up well with soap and water. Great set for ages 3 and up!
The melissa and Doug roll paper did not fit the Melissa and Doug Easel, it was too long.The paint and chalk and eraser are fine but I purchased this for the paper to fit the easel. It is 2 inches too long. I purchased the Melissa and Doug easel also and I expected it to fit. The description said it would
This paint is not washable as advertised! My sons hands are stained green. We tried soap and rubbing alcohol and nothing would remove the stain. The chalk also doesn’t write very well.
