I adopted Heidi, the German Shepherd, into my home and heart so that I can drive up to her in electronic power chair and pet her on the head between her ears. Her expression lets me know that she is perpetually happy and full of fun kinetic energy. She is the ideal height for me to reach her from my chair to scratch under her chin. I let her eat at the dining table, and when we sent out a family pic of us at dinner, the relatives on the vacation asked "when did we get a dog?"
I like the realistic details because it looks just like Oakley, my gym teachers dog! I actually bought this at the Teacher Supply Store, and I saved a bunch of money, and I am SUPER HAPPY with my dog!!! I in the future, will get all the Melissa And Doug Dogs! I am also getting a collar, a bed, and 2 food and water dishes! This was not a waste of money!
This stuffed doggie is so "real life" looking that it would get the attention of any real dog in the neighborhood. I got this for my pastor's 8 year old boy and when I gave it to the pastor's son in the parking lot of the church, my two Huskie dogs that are the friendliest dogs wanted to jump out of car to check things out. PLEASE, if you must buy this for a child, PLEASE never allow the child to take this stuffed dog outside. I am afraid a neighborhood dog on leash or not will approach your child. This makes a great adult office toy (5 stars for that). I have asked Walmart to change the age group to adult.
My 7 yr old grandson's German Shepherd recently passed away. I added a K-9 unit vest and nametag & they sleep together. Thanks!!
I purchased a beautiful, life size German Shepherd dog for my husband who lost his live Shepherd. He just loves how real this stuffed animal looks. The quality of the stuffed animal is outstanding.
Super real looking. My daughter loves it. **My only recommendation to M&D; maybe think of not putting your name on the shipping box. That was a close one for me. Luckily my kids didn't see the box being delivered. But come on guys your "Santa's helpers". Maybe not advertise your name on the box. It would really help. Other then that we love the Shepard. Thank you for providing great quality stuff animals.
Purchased this and several other dogs to use as models and displays for my canine clothiers business. Very fast service. These dogs will work very well for my intended use.
I gave my cousin the German Shepard Because she recently lost her mixed breed dog that looked a lot like yours. She has been having some challenging times and said "it was the best gift she ever received". Adults who can no longer take care of pets can really appreciate how life like your dogs are. I named your pug "Buster", and my cousin loves her "Mable".
It did not look like the one that you advertised. it stands uneven. the ears do not stand up. the legs are different sizes. One is leg is thicker than the other one. I would not buy this stuffed dog again. it is not worth the price.
I have purchased Melissa and Doug animals in the past and have been very satisfied. This dog is a great disappointment it should not have passed quality control. Several of the seams are poorly done and very obvious. There is a balding spot on the face and large (perhaps basting stitches) are visible on the muzzle. I believe part of the problem is the poor quality of fabric fur. I will try and convince my granddaughter that we will pretend it's a rescue dog. This is definitely not up to Melissa and Doug standards. The photos do not adequately show the defects.
