We have not used this yet and probably wont for the next three or four years, but we went ahead and purchased them just in case they are not still available when our daughter reaches this step!! So Im not much help...BUT they came packed perfectly...NO damage and seem to be very easy to install!! sooo I am happy with my purchase!! The color matches the bed perfectly!! Happy shopping to you!!
We bought this for our youngest daughter. We love it. She is 2 now and its still very sturdy. Been moved as well and in wonderful shape. Great buy :)
great product - ordered white for other daughters bed - no problems. but just fyi - some had mentioned that these would work for their simplicity ellis crib (our other daughters crib) but no luck for us. not even close.
it will be great for the 4-1 crib i bought the starts off as a crib, then toddler bed then a full size bed. now a days you need something that can grow with the child
Exactly what was needed to make the bed into a twin. The bed overall now is very lovely. I also think it was very easy to put together and very sturdy.
I have always been impressed with the quality of our baby mod convertable crib, and even decided to purchase a second one for our newest arrival this spring. However, if I had known of the quality of the conversion kit before hand I think I may have chosen a different brand. I recently purchased this conversion kit to switch my two year olds bed to a full size bed before her sister arrives but am not very impressed. First of all the full weight of the box spring and matress is being held on a thin bar that stretches the length of the rail, with absolutly no support beams going across. This makes me nervous since I planned on my daughter having this bed for a very long time, and i'm not convinced of the overall support of the bed. Secondly it just looks and feels cheaply thrown together without any thought of lasting quality. I did a little digging on the product and it seems that you don't even need the conversion kit, you can just purchase a much sturdier metal frame WITH a center support bar for the same cost. I would highly recommend going that route for anyone else thinking about purchasing this conversion kit.
I was a little disappointed. I bought a standard full size mattress and the rails were too narrow to fit the mattress. There were very little instructions and I had to use other screws I had to put it together. The screws it came with did not fit.
If I had it to do over, I probably would NOT have ordered this. Firstly, ebony is apparently the only color it comes in. My child's bed is cherry. and secondly, there were no support beams to run acroos the middle part. The mattress just sits on the rails. As I understand it now, I could have gone to any furnature store and bought full sized bed rallings that would have been compatible.
