I have a few of these bilge switches, but all the ones I have are 12V, and I was hoping to pick up a few more of these, but the indicated voltage is wrong on the website. This item operates at 24V, not 12V, says it right on the package. This error is for this product only, the white ones do operate at 12V, but not these black ones. Also note, that when you first power up these switches, they run from between 8 seconds (if they've been powered recently) to 60 seconds (if they haven't been powered up in over 6 months) regardless of the water level, and then stop. After that first power-up run, these switches operate as expected. Also note, after they start, they run for an additional 60 seconds after the water level drops, so be sure to allow for some water to be around the pump during that time to keep from burning it out (in other words, most pumps don't like to run dry, so mount the switch up a little bit from the pump). I recommend the brand, just be careful to get the correct voltage.
