I bought and reviewed the baby-mod cadence 4 in 1 crib in espresso too. I am pleased with both purchases. The colors match nicely. The dresser was delivered to a Walmart near my house, it came un-damaged with all necessary parts. The dresser's assembly is more complicated than the crib. Probably because of the moving parts for the drawers. We were confused how to attached the "rods" the drawers slide into because that info wasn't clearly stated in the instructions, but we figured it out by looking at the pieces. It took us, two people, under two hours to assemble. It looks really nice - it doens't look like a cheap piece of furniture at all.
We bought this matching dresser to our new Baby Mod Roxanne crib, and love it just as much. It took us about 2 hours to assemble with ease. It's a perfect fit in our nursery, modern, clean lines, sleek colour, and a great price. Looks great across from our crib. Very satisfied!
This dresser is perfect for our nursery! It's a great piece of furniture for the price. It was extremely easy to put together, my husband had it together in 30 min (I don't know if it helps that he has put together tons of furniture before though). It is a very nice looking piece and is perfect for our tiny nursery. We are using it as a changing table as well as a dress and the changing pad fits perfectly on top. The drawers open and shut smoothly. The color is very nice and matches the Baby Mod crib that we also have perfectly. If you are looking for and upper-end/high quality piece for a master bedroom, this may not be the right piece. However, for a nursery or guest bedroom it is great!
We bought a beautiful crib from Babi Italia, the Pinehurst in Espresso; the crib was a reasonable splurge but the coordinating dresser from that big baby store was wayyyyy overpriced. This dresser matched perfectly and is really nicely made. We are very happy with the dresser, it has nice simple lines and will be age appropriate for a long time. It also matches the glider we purchased through Wal-Mart. Easy to assemble, nice construction, nice stain. A great deal.
My husband and I had no problems putting the dresser together. It was actually really easy. The price is great and looks beautiful in our nursery. I would recommend this product to anyone.
The dresser matches the Da Vinci Anabelle mini crib we purchased on another site. It also matches the espresso toy organizer we bought on this site. Installation took about an hour. Some of the holes didn't match up but we were able to make it work. None of the pieces were damage and it looks great. We purchased a 32x16" contoured changing pad for the top and it fits perfectly It is super spacious and holds tons of baby clothes. The drawers slide in and out well. The only complaint I have is the price. It looks nice but I would have expected it to be priced at less than $200.
Product looks great. One major complaint is that the directions are very hard to apply to actually putting together the dresser and crib. I had to guess on a few of the steps while putting it together. The crib directions are much harder to comprehend than the dresser.
The price for this piece was reasonable given that the Babymod brand is owned by DaVinci which also produces this same piece under its Roxanne line and its Millin Dollar Baby Line. The BabyMod version is somewhat cheaper than the other brands but this cames at a cost. The piece required some TLC which included some restaining of the unit sides to match the rest of the pieces as well as some sealing (the plywood sides had uneven stain and rough patches coming through that I couldn't live with), I have other pieces from the Million Dollar Baby line and the pieces are definitely compatible and were obviously made using the same design (just slightly lesser materials and finishing, such as some knots showing in the wood drawere fronts and the finishing issues described previously. FOr the ~$100 in savings it was worth it to me to fix some of the issues myself. I probably spent 4-5 hours spread over a week in restaing, and selaing the sides and adding some strenght to the drawers by using glue in addition to provided fastners and using screws to more securely attach drawer fronts (angled in from the top of the drawer sides into the fronts)
My husband and I really liked the Roxanne two-tone crib (espresso/antique white), so we ordered this dresser to go with it. My complaints: 1) It looks great, but the assembly was horrible. It took my husband and I three stressful hours to assemble it. 2) The cam-locks were horrible and several broke in the process (of course, the manufacturer supplies the exact number that you need ... not even one extra). We had to send an email to MDB for replacement cam-locks and were told that they would arrive in about a week. 3) My husband didn't think that the dresser was stable enough to use as a changer, because the only thing holding the sides together are the flimsy cam-locks. He mounted a 2x4 (with L brackets) to the bottom of the dresser (where you can't see it) to stablize the dresser and make sure that it couldn't collapse. We probably voided any warranty, but at least our baby will be safe. 4) I put the baby's clothes in the dresser last week and when I open the drawers they still have an adhesive smell to them. I think the small is coming from the composite pieces that make up the drawer bottoms or the back of the dresser. Overall ... it's a great looking dresser, but with all of the assembly issues (unless there is a carpenter in the house) I'd look for a different dresser.
We have had this product for just one year and the dresser has come apart on one side because one of the screws holding it together has busted. Now all the drawers won't slide back in and we have to reinforce it somehow. I think we are going to try the 2x4 and L bracket idea on the bottom to hold it together. Not happy...
