We love the dresser. And when I say hard to put together it can be done but you must know how to read a print. There are not step by step instructions and the commonly already put together objects in most things are not put together. You will assemble every little piece yourself. My husband is an engineer and it took him about 3 hours. I would have probably given up and returned it. Glad he did it though because we are thrilled with the results.
Very nice dresser, not too difficult to put together. However I haven't had the baby yet so I really haven't used it. But I don't anticipate any problems. The drawers open nice and easy and it looks great in the nursery!
The drawers are very spacious!
My hubby is a builder/general contractor/handyman and builds/fixes things all day and this was annoying to him. None of the pre-drilled holes were lined up correctly so he had to fix them all and hit the dookey out of them with his hand to move them into place. The laminate finish is already peeling off the top of the drawers and inside as he is putting it together. We are dissappointed at the price of this vs the quality. The crib and changing table from other companies we got off walmart.com are super nice and real wood- and made complete sense in putting together. Sure it looks good but I dont think it will hold up one week in using daily. Debating on whether or not to return. Make sure your hubby is super handy and can fix things easily.
The dresser was very cheaply made with particle board and several of the pre-drilled holes were not aligned correctly and broke the "wood" when screws were inserted. 3 out of 5 of the black drawers were scratched on the front and the covering over the particle board was peeling back! I returned the product after having put it completely together and then having to find somebody to haul it back to walmart and drop it off.
