I got this for my sons as the regular strap was hard to adjust for them and the weight of the headset would make the strap slip. This was easy to install and easy for the kids to use. It fits great and holds the headset snugly on their head. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable solution for wearing the VR headset.
Arrived early , ( ordered on a Sunday deliverd on Tuesday). Easy to chang out strap (many instructional videos on you tube). Grandson likes it better than origional strap. Stays in place with out having to keep adjusting.
i assumed the recall was finished and the straps weren't breaking like they were a few weeks before. this strap lasted less than a month with only semi-regular use. the customer service from oculus is a joke. I have had the same copy-paste reply asking for my information that I already gave 3 times in a row.
We purchased this for a gift and if a small head person uses this every time they play their Oculus head set it will break from continuous use .It cracked the plastic.It needs to be made stronger for sure if kids use it everyday. We still ordered an other one because it is needed to hold on the face so the fit is tight on the head. Disappointed it didn't last through the Holiday!
Breaks very easily.
This is my second time buying this strap for 50$ and it broke in about 3 months, there so cheap they just break, the sides are made with really thin plastic, not built to last and idk how they have more than a 1 star review, everyone who purchased one the only guarantee is that its definitely 100% going to break even if your super careful with it dont waste your money
Cracked in 3 places and snapped off within a couple of weeks of mild use. We took very good care of the Oculus and didn't drop it and were not rough with it. My son picked it up and the strap snapped off the back and practically started to disintegrate in my hand when I was trying to see where it was broken
I literally baby my quest 2 and the strap still broke. I thought all the posts on reddit and twitter were just of people being too rough or having it too tight but now I know its just a complete peice of poo. I would not recommend this. Look for the "frankrift" setup (buy adapters and the vive elite audio strap) or some other 3rd party strap with better quality. By the way, I stream VR for a living, and have a vive and a rift S. While the quest 2 is decent specs for the price, I would not recommend buying the strap, which sucks because the original soft straps really hurt my head and pull my hair.
