Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for PlayStation Vita within this collection is set in 1964 and revolves around a former Green Beret turned CIA agent assigned to unit FOX named David Hayter. Throughout the game, he goes by his codename, Naked Snake. This character attempts to rescue a weapons designer, sabotage an experimental superweapon, and assassinate his defected former boss. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is set within a 1960s Soviet jungle which is a distinct change from the high tech and futuristic stylings of previous MGS games. Throughout the game, Naked Snake is accompanied by fellow fox members to help him with various challenges along the way. The challenge in this game involves two colonels who are attempting to overthrow Nikita Khrushchev (a real-life Soviet Union politician) and seize power for various corrupted Communist leaders. Naked Snake must navigate through the scenes throughout the jungle to stop their evil plan, end the war, and bring the world back to peace.
