In addition to being made of metal it has a couple of addition needle sizes my older one does not have and measures an inch longer. Just what I needed.
Couldn't find it anywhere else & it was just what I wanted for gifts for knitting friends. Super find!
My wife was excited to get this. Once open and taken out of the plastic package, you could see deep, deep scratches. Very unhappy with it and had to return it.
