My choice of Michelin Hydroedge tires is one of the best tire decisions I ever made. Based on over forty years of satisfied driving experience on Michelins, it was simply a matter of which Michelin. The road handling and safety were major factors, but as a money-wise shopper the high mileage rating "sealed the deal." In fact, I bought two sets of Michelin Hydroedge tires, one set for my Mercury Grand Marquis and one set for my Ford Ranger. And yes, soon I will be buying four more Hydroedge tires for my wife's Corolla. We both value the comfort, the gas mileage and the feeling of safety provided by Michelin tires.
This is the latest Michelin purchase--I have had Michelins on various vehicles since 1971. I even have Michelins on my airplane. I have never had a bad Michelin tire. This set was purchased as an early replacement for the tires which came on my vehicle, because they had started "drumming" at around 30,000 miles. As of today, I have over 58,000 miles on this set of Michelins, and based on the wear, I suspect they will pass 80,000 miles easily. They are excellent in all conditions except deep snow--but they aren't snow tires, so I didn't expect that of them.
I am very proud that I purchased this particular set of tires because I didn't know there was such a big difference in the performance of tires. I get better gas mileage, better handling and feel that these tires will last a long time on my Honda Civic. The gas mileage was good before but now it has increased significantly.
I have had these tires for 20,000 miles and the wear is great. The car now responds much better, granted my car is a family sedan. There is some noise but not enough to bother me. In the rain this tire is a step above the rest, it handles the water very well.
I bought a set of 4 hydroedge tires for my dodge mini van. I loved the ride and comfort of these tires, as this was the first time I purchased michelins. The tires got great traction on ice and snow, and never hydroplained on wet roads. I now have 84,000 miles on the tires and they are worn at the edges, but still have good tread in the center. My son and all our friends are buying this tire, because of the great service I got from them. I have had a lot of different tires, but none even compare to the hydroedge. Keep up the good work.
The Hydro Edges are very much like buy a rider on your car insurance. You can raise your deductibles to the ceiling ,an enjoy the savings once again. The tires track like your on rails. The response of these tire is so assuring you can focus on the task at hand.
Exceptional wear. I have 7500 miles on them and they still look like they were just put on yesterday. Traction on wet or dry pavement is phenominal. And the ride comfort, unmatched to any tire I have ever had. With a 90,000 mile treadwear bonus the investment in the Michelin Hydroedge tires is one of the smartest choices you will ever make.
I purchased Michelin Hydroedge tires for my Lexus eight months ago. They have exceeded my expectations. They replaced a set of highly rated replacement tires from another brand that were a disappointment because of noise, ride comfort and rapid wear. The Hydroedge tires are slightly quieter than the OEtires were, and ride and handling is somewhat better. I am very happy with the wet weather handling and braking ability that I have now. I see very little wear now with over 12,000 miles. I know what I will specify when I replace the tires on my other car a few months from now.
Bought this tire for high mileage wear. Trusted the Michelin name after using many types of tires with all my used vehicles in my early driving years. My third or fourth personal vehicle with this tire plus my wife's cars as well. Never ever a problem with hydroplaning or skidding on dry surfaces, in all types of weather and speeds.
My tires are one year old and show hardly any wear. My gas mileage increased with the new tires. The only thing I do not like is the noise. My Honda Civic is already noisy and the tire noise is just about unbearable. Even though I have probably 80,000 miles of treadwear left I will probably get rid of them for quieter tires. Wish I could trade them back in to Michelin!
