I love these tires. I drive 300 miles a day 5 days a week. I have them rotated every other oil change. Last set I was able to stretch them out to 95k before replacing. I love them for all weather conditions, low to none when it comes to road noise and overall the best tire I've ever purchased. Unless they build a better tire my future purchase will only be this tire.
In my history of using the Assurance all seasons, this is the best tire I have used. Compared to the base model of the tire... It is great especially in taking a hit to an unavoidable pothole. There have been may times I have went turtle mode in my car after hitting a pothole. These are a stronger tread, and I am glad I don't have to lose any time replacing one. They last a lot longer too! I may have to nearly full price on the next set! They hit their prorate mileage. That's even with me driving on numerous types of roads.
I've been a hunting, fishing off-road guy for over 35 years and have had LandCruisers, 4Runners, Yukons, Range Rovers etc and have been buying BFG AT's since back then and when I went in to get another set of the KO2's well, they didn't have my size so I decided to go with what my hunting buddies have been raving about the Toyo AT3's and so far with over 20k plus miles on them I've NEVER ever looked back. My previous KO2's have served me well but even when new they would slide side to side making me very nervous that my fenders would come into contact with trees next to the trail and this was in "ALL" of my 4x4's while driving up a muddy clay slope that I frequent during hog hunts but these Toyo AT3's didn't slip not even once, WOW! Not at all any louder than any other AT and absolutely LOVE THESE TIRES!!
Outstanding Rugged Terrain Tires I recently upgraded my vehicle with a set of rugged terrain tires, and the transformation has been remarkable. These tires are specifically designed for the toughest conditions, and they have exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Durability and Build Quality: From the moment you see these tires, it's clear they are built to last. The sidewalls are reinforced to prevent punctures, and the tread is aggressive and deep, providing excellent grip. After several months of use, including off-road trails with sharp rocks and deep mud, there are barely any signs of wear. These tires can handle just about anything you throw at them. Performance: The performance of these rugged terrain tires is outstanding. On rocky trails, the traction is superb, giving you the confidence to tackle challenging terrains. In muddy conditions, they clean out well, maintaining their grip without getting clogged. Even on wet and snowy surfaces, these tires provide excellent stability and control. Comfort and Noise: One might expect rugged tires to be noisy and uncomfortable on paved roads, but I was pleasantly surprised. While they are slightly louder than standard road tires, the noise is minimal and easily tolerable. The ride quality is also very comfortable, absorbing bumps and uneven surfaces effectively. Versatility: These tires aren't just for off-road enthusiasts. They perform well on highways too, making them an excellent choice for those who need a versatile tire that can handle both daily commutes and weekend adventures. Whether you're driving through city streets, highways, or challenging off-road trails, these tires provide consistent performance. Value for Money: Given their durability, performance, and versatility, these rugged terrain tires offer excellent value for money. While the initial investment might be higher than standar
I have only owned these tires for less than 24 hours. I installed them road forced balanced them, they took very little weight to balance. Half hour after installation I left on an emergency 8 hour road trip. 7.5 hour were in extreme rain fall. Other reviews mentioned that these tires were not the best in the rain. These tires are amazing in the rain!! If I stayed in the ruts in the road from heavy trucks yes it would start to hydro-plane but, any tire would have in the conditions we were in. Had a panic maneuver at 100kmh (60mph) when another driver decided to change lane right in front of me. Tires handle it perfect. The ride was smooth no vibration at all. 2019 Tacoma 275/70/18.
These tires are reliable. The treadwear is durable and perform well in the rain. I love in Michigan so on light snow days they're fine . Heavier snowfalls need winter tires. The only drawback is these tired are VERY loud on the highway and even speeds of 45mph so there's that. However this is my second set so there's something to be said about the quality of these tires!
Have run these on 2 Jeeps from 2021 and Wet Roads performance is Terrible; otherwise, a good tire.. Really liked 11.50s for Load "C". Have now resulted in Tire "Gooving" to cut additional edges hoping to improve WET and did get a slight improvement.
I was recently in the market for some new tires for my Honda Passport and was looking to replace the tires from the manufacturer. I wanted a tire that was highly rated for Snow and Ice and also had more of an aggressive look. After much research on Tire Rack and advice from friends I was torn between Falken Wildpeak A/T and the Toyo Open Country AT / III's for my crossover. After further research I called the local tire shop who I used for years and set up a time to have the Toyo's installed. I knew upon purchasing these tires that I would experience SOME road noise as that is typically expected when swapping from a light duty all season to an A/T tire. After my tire appointment I was really excited to get on the road with these new tires. However after picking up my vehicle I was immediately shocked at how unbelievably loud the Toyo's were at low speed. At highway speeds I experienced extreme vibration to the point my seats were shaking. I immediatley called up the tire shop and requested a rebalance. After the rebalance I found that this did not make a difference with the vibration I was experiencing. in fact it seems like after I put more mileage on the tires the vibration and noise is getting worse and worse! To spend over $1000.00 on a set of tires and experience this level of road noise and vibration on tires with less than 2000 miles is unacceptable. I called the local tire shop and requested to have these returned but sadly they would not warrant the return. The tires look fantastic however do not live up to the expectation the tire manufacturer places on them. Save your money and purchase the Falken Wildpeaks for your vehicle instead!
Do not buy these tires the come apart with 17,000 mile on them highway driving and leave you stranded Then all they could say is take them to a Toyo dealer it's kind of hard when you don't have any room to haul them when you have the bed full When you spend 500 a tire you would expect more out of them They do look good but the rest out of a premium tire is not worth it So if you have the money to throw away get them but I highly recommend buying a different brand Luckily I was able to get all 4 tires after being changed to try to get them warranty I will let everyone know how that goes
Since Covid, my driving has greatly decreased. So I expected these tires to last, as I am no stranger to Goodyear's Assurance line of tires. This set, however, only went as far as 51K miles & I'm already being told I should replace them. So, I am hoping to hold out until late fall/start of winter before I buy my next set, however I seriously doubt it will be this line again.
